Winner of SPARK Batch 2 OneChat got to visit DLD (Tel Aviv, Israel).
This is what he got from going on this trip."Israel is a wonderful and beautiful country. We got to tour Tel Aviv, visit the Old Cities of Jaffa and Jerusalem - and had very good experience with their cuisine. The team provided us with 5-star accommodation and took us to all the best places. We also got a chance to visit an exhibit at DLD - which connected us to the startup ecosystem there, and worldwide".

Week 12 has come to an end...
On Tuesday morning, the session was on fundraising and valuation. There were three mentors: Takashi Sano; Justin Nguyen and Jeffery Paine. Starting off with Takashi, he spoke about the essential of fund raising which are validation, milestone and governance. Furthermore, he talked about seed till exit phase.
Justin talked about 'crafting your pitch deck'. First of all, the criteria VCs think about when evaluating startups are team; market size; timing;competition and deal structure. So, startups should considered this when they pitch as it highlights what needs to be in the pitch deck and what should be taken out. Justin recommended the outline of the pitch deck to be highlight of the deal; opportunity; your solution; competition; team;financial plan; use of fund and summary.
Jeffery gave out tips which are know your strengths and weaknesses, know enough data points, startups are hard, founder's life is lonely, reach out and "brand together"(in your company and outside).
In the afternoon, startups got to meet with the mentors and have to talk about what they learned from the session and any questions they might want to asked the mentors. The session carries on to the next day as well.On Wednesday afternoon, startups get to meet with the coaches one last time before DEMO DAY.
On Thursday evening, startups get to go to Kaidee and pitch infront of Tiwa York. They all come recommendation what they should change for their pitch deck.
