Sometimes I just need to keep playing with it . Chalk paint project. Scandinavian pink and Abuson blue from Annie Sloan a tint of Emerald green from General finishes, a wash of black chalk paint from Abby's Shabby Chic Creations, Gold liquid leaf, finished with dark wax and clear wax also from Annie Sloan. The trick is to use what you have.

One of the things I love the most about chalk paint is that is so easy to work with. You can try and use so many different techniques until you are happy with the results. Chalk paint allows you to add and remove paint easily. You can get a professional look, funky look, bohemian look, even modern look depending on how you work your paint. It's easy cleaning, no smell, durable and fast. Perfect for a one day project. For a very sensible cost you can keep your old good furniture and give it a new look.

Annie Sloan chalk paint gave a new look to this old night table. I wet distressed the corners and sealed with clear wax. Simple beautiful look.

The beauty about chalk paint is that you play with your project until you love it. I had painted this mirror green and added some white, I was not happy. I left it alone for a while and came back with vengeance. I love it now. My advice to you is to play play play you have nothing to loose,enjoy the ride.
