Yesterday I installed these Volume Mirror’s upstate and it felt bittersweet, as there’s a decent chance they’ll be the last pair I’ll ever make. The Volume + Gem Mirror’s were my first actually successful designs. They allowed me to pay off the years of debt I built up when I first launched my studio in 2014, and they’re a big reason why I’ve had the freedom to explore design in Thailand over the last 3 years.

Very very grateful to the hundreds of customers who made these mirrors a part of their homes 🙏🏼 🐶. I’ll be sad to discontinue this collection but I just can’t make the logistics work any more as I focus on building full time. Would love to license this design if anyone knows a manufacturer who might be interested!

15,000 miles by boat from Chiang Mai to Brooklyn! That smile on my face is the sweet feeling of relief. I’ve been an anxious mess these last weeks as our container ship was delayed, but all is good now. 1 more week to prep before installation begins 😅

One of my favorite things about working with P’ Wee’s shop in Saraburi is that there is always some new boulder that just arrived or was hidden under a pile of old stone. The last picture is from when I discovered this hunk of burgundy marble back in June. You have to use your imagination at first (and sprinkle the surface with a bit of water) to get a sense of what the color might look like in the end 🙏🏼

My Thai reading skills are at a 1st grade level so I'm not sure what most of this article says (will need to get it translated!). But something that makes me very proud is to see the work and names of our artisan partners in Ban Pa Ao and Saraburi alongside those of my design collaborators back in the US .bigeleisen. This has been my essential goal since I first started working in Thailand - to connect my two homes and to create material conversations that put craftspeople and designers on a shared and equal stage.

Special shoutout to my friend for being one of my biggest supporters and for introducing my work to the Vogue crew. Hope to welcome you guys back here in January when the shophouse renovations are finished and we officially launch the new studio 🤗
