Surface as memory.
Across Cem and Aşk, the fluid language of ebru painting finds new expression in embroidery—where movement lingers and surfaces retain the trace of the hand.

Presented in Paris for the first time, Nahıl: Redefining Objects, Space and Rituals introduces a limited-edition collection that unfolds at the intersection of ritual, material culture, and collectible design.
Rooted in centuries of Turkish craftsmanship, the works translate inherited techniques into sculptural objects conceived for present-day interiors.
Here, the works shift from ceremonial evocations to inhabitable presences — objects that bridge past and present, tradition and everyday life.
We thank everyone who joined us in Paris.

The contemporary mythology of Ahu.
Each composition is developed across materials and techniques — here carved into the Meşk Writing & Reading Cabinet.
A single motif travels through gestures — dispersed in
water, stitched by hand, then embedded in the surface,
becoming the Nakş Bar Cabinet.

Nahıl — Redefining Objects, Space and Rituals

10 April – 26 June 2026
First unveiled in Istanbul within the vaulted chambers of the Küçük Mustafa Paşa Hammam, the collection is recontextualized in Paris within the luminous domestic scale of a 19th-century hôtel particulier. Here, the works shift from ceremonial evocations to inhabitable presences — objects that bridge past and present, tradition and everyday life.

Safi Cleansing Cabinet
Soap, towels, and water vessels
– the tools of renewal
In Ottoman life,
the pitcher and the hammam
marked this ritual of washing.
Cleansing is never only physical:
to wash is to prepare,
to release, to begin again
An everyday act,
lived as a quiet ceremony.

Umay Coffee Table
The marbles are joined so
seamlessly that they seem
painted rather than assembled.
A work that turns one of the
hardest materials into
something that feels fluid.
The two tables nest together
or stand apart,
shifting between sculpture
and function.
In this third chapter, our founders speak about Nahıl’s place within Ahu and the role it plays in shaping the studio’s path.
Hosted by Nilay Örnek — with our thanks.
