柏林客廳沒有不見, 它在柏林廢墟中

從信義區的柏林客廳到萬華的柏林廢墟, 本來只是希望在交通和場地大小上進行改善, 過程中卻看到了心情的轉變—從剛開始只想將從德國搬回來的家具重新布置成自己在歐洲老家的客廳模樣, 花了一番工夫把吳興街底的某個角落改造成柏林客廳; 這次, 我們試著用更大角度去看柏林這個城市給世人帶來的影響, 同時也順應房屋原有樣貌和萬華的特有風情, 柏林廢墟於是誕生。

柏林廢墟又稱為Tacheles(德文, 原意:說真的話)

Tacheles 在1920年代是柏林的一個百貨公司, 1945年戰後成為廢墟, 後來並被一群藝術家所佔領, 他們在那裡發展了許多活動: 音樂, 藝術, 市集, 講座…等等, 其他在歐洲的佔屋行動也常常以藝術形式來表達自由, 居住爭議反資本主義及公民不服從等精神。

廢墟精神再現萬華

在十八世紀浪漫主義思潮下, 歐洲有許多精心打造的大型花園中, 會在蜿蜒的小徑路底精心設計一處看起來像是不經意出現的城堡廢墟, 是當時文人雅士對歷史緬懷及充滿詩意美的標的; 而在萬華的柏林廢墟, 在台北這座大花園中, 也或許能讓你我在此對萬華的過往及美好事物駐足片刻, 同時也藉著一些活動, 找尋事物的本質及創意。

From ‘Salon Berlin’ to ‘TACHELES’

When I brought back the complete family household of several generations from Germany we eventually found a little shop in Wu Xing Rd that became “Salon Berlin” for the last 2 years. We organized small concerts, classes, exhibitions and aimed to become a part of our community here at the far end of WuXing Road.
The idea was to bring a little bit of the ‘European Salon’ to Taipei and to attract diverse people from Taiwan and beyond to share ideas about art, music and anything else that defines a civil society
Now the Salon Berlin is moving from Xin Yi district across the city to Wanhua and we will continue our activities under a new name: TACHELES
The original TACHELES was a former department store from 1920 destroyed in 1945 and left in ruins. After artist squatted the building it soon became the most famous squatted house/ art house in Berlin that attracted visitors & artist from all over the world.
TACHELES serves as a symbol of the unique squatting scene and alternative culture of Berlin after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. That time many buildings in East Berlin were in bad condition and the ownership unknown. Students and artists took advantage and moved in- renovated and created hundreds of pop up bars, clubs in the most bizarre locations- One of those was the basement deep under the TACHELES- It was here several floors underground, water tripping from the dark mouldy ceiling were I first heard “TECHNO”. ( I was terrified.)
What attracted me was the rawness of the abandoned houses, the bare brick walls and partly destruction being the only ‘interior design’. In Berlin squatted houses also had strong political meaning against unaffordable living, a manifestation of civil disobedience – many squatted house served as informal community center, running so called “ peoples kitchen” restaurants, bars, theaters- even cinemas.
You felt a strong sense of community, anti- capitalism & liberalism with a creative portion of revolution & anarchy. We will try to re-create this spirit of the 1990’s Berlin in our TACHELES in Wanhua.

“街頭市井看見愛”part 2:房屋修繕

修繕案例2：黃大姐

黃大姐是湖南人，先生過世後一人獨居，是低收入戶，本身並患有嚴重的暈眩症，查不出原因，病發時又吐又拉，無法走任何一步路，連去拿房裡的藥都無法。因為有這個病，也無法工作。

黃大姐住的簡陋小屋，傢具大部分是撿來的，但是黃大姐整理得很乾淨，所以倒也清爽。

黃大姐人非常和善，要求不多，只說希望我們能幫她裝上一個小窗戶，因為冬天風灌進來很冷，還有水泥地的土老是掃不完，看是否能塗上一層水泥改善。

但我們看她房裡壁癌很嚴重，想幫他稍微處理。還有她寫書法的小桌子可以改善讓她好坐一些。

我想，我們就以對待一位新認識朋友的方式，小小的幫助她，大家等於交個朋友。

黃大姐家裡的微風徐徐吹來，看到她和善的笑，真是舒服極了！下星期就開工囉！

舞踏家太田分享了在宜蘭看到人偶展的心情, 在那裏他看到了各式各樣的偶, 有用線操控、 有鐵絲、也有人直接穿進去的那種…他講得像是小朋友發現好玩玩具那樣地興奮、比手畫腳…還說他一直以為掌偶必須要用左手, 但在場掌偶師卻偏偏告訴他要用右手, 他說不是不是, 是左手…之所以那麼堅持, 也不是因為左撇子那種原因(更何況他是右撇子…), 他堅持地說左手更接近心臟, 而操控偶必須要從心臟跳動開始, 藉由比較近的左手再傳到手中的偶, 它因此有了生命…

人的身上也有操控線或鐵絲嗎?沒有了掌偶人透過這些線(可能是宗教、傳統或僅僅是意念)讓我們活動的心靈傳達, 人不過也像躺在地上沒人操控的偶一樣, 只是一個東西而已~~

而今天頭頸愛夥伴們看起來即使像一具殘破的偶, 然而應該有的線都在, 透過自我關注意念掌控, 全場盡情舞動著他們的病痛, 情感和對自己身體的愛憐, 很美……

在一旁翻譯的劉敏, 她可能不知道正在加入成為舞踏家太田的掌偶人, 在場沒有人懂日文, 但我們真的都懂了, 聽著透過她身體內部所發出的頻率, 這不是翻譯, 是分明在傳達她的心跳, 表現她自己的偶的動作!

這場工作坊讓我思考了許久, 我是否常常會失去了自己的線, 某個動作是否因為缺乏引導鐵絲而動得怪怪的, 還是我根本有線沒在用, 只是跟著其他偶的一致性動作日復一日在動…?

TONKORI TRACE at Salon Berlin on Friday, April 20

The “tonkori” is a string instrument (like a zither) of Japan’s Ainu minority. This instrument plays a significant role in the resurgence of the Ainu performing arts and Ainu social movements. This transformative process was initiated by key musicians who are at the same time cultural and political leaders. The “tonkori” is emblematic as a musical instrument that allows its practitioners to convey a distinct Ainu cultural identity within Japanese society, a notion that challenges accepted beliefs in Japan of a homogeneous ethnic identity.

一堵白白的牆佇立在滿眼翠綠在台北市難得一見自然的公園裡, 這堵牆被頭頸愛的夥伴們選定了, 大家決定盡可能用繪畫的錯視畫法來這牆「消失」😉。

這群頭頸愛朋友們先前陸陸續續上了6 個月的畫畫課, 大家都十分踴躍參與這次的「社區服務之牆面彩繪」活動, 想要來一展身手! 當然我們也需要專業的阿郎老師全程帶領, 學員們全程戰戰兢兢, 深怕出了差錯…這兩次天氣給足了面子, 晴朗無雲的好天氣, 讓大家不禁做了社區服務, 也讓身心獲得舒展!

幾位每天來公園運動的鄰居, 對我們的行動觀察了好一陣子, 我們原本擔心自以為的服務可能破壞了大家對公園的感受, 特別是經常使用這裡的居民朋友們…然而他們看了看轉而跟我們笑了起來, 熱情地打招呼, 問了狀況之後 有一位老大哥有點小激動地請我們稍等, 說要表示對我們的愛意😊, 於是跑回家裡拿了一大罐飲料請大家喝, 並熱絡地聊了起來…

即使頭頸愛的朋友們無法清楚地用言語和街坊們順利閒聊, 熱情招待的果汁他們也無福消受, 但是我相信他們心中一定感到滿足, 真實地快樂~~~
