Kitenge chair is 10 years old today.
The design was born out of a failed project in 2016. We didn't give up, we saw a diamond in the rough. We went back to a drawing board and the rest is history.
Kitenge chair is one of our best selling design and has inspired many people who are making it now inside and outside the country.

Swahili Woodcarving is an ancient art form that can trace its origins to the East African coast as early as 100AD.
Kangas are deeply embedded in Swahili culture and are given as gifts during weddings, coming-of-age ceremonies, and are used respectfully in times of mourning.
