At Dhow furniture everything is handmade from reclaimed wood that has spent its life on the sea in Zanzibar. We not only make large furniture pieces but also small dhow objects such as these lovely salt&pepper holders. The holder, which slides open, contains space for salt and pepper and includes a little spoon for serving. More original handcraft can be found on our webshop dhowfurniture.com.

Zanzibar… known for its beautiful white sand and crystal clear water but also its characteristic dhow boats! At Dhow furniture we promote working in a sustainable way. We only use wood from abandoned and disused dhow boats from over the island making every piece unique, local and environmentally friendly.
