We are an LLC wholly owned by the GOU mandated to handle its commercial interests in oil and gas.
Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) was established under Section 42 of the Petroleum (Exploration, Development and Production) Act and Section 7 of the Petroleum (Refining, Conversion, Transmission and Midstream Storage) Act, both of 2013. Our overall function is to handle the State’s Commercial interests in the petroleum sector and to ensure that the resource is exploited in a sustainable manner.

The business community is the focus of a supplier development workshop taking place in Gulu, Northern Uganda.
The key discussion is on how to tap into opportunities in the oil and gas sub-sector.
This is the second workshop within a year targeting the Acholi region.

A few days ago on X, someone posted: "Drop the name of the company you’d like to work with." In response, Trust Mugisha Nduwayo proudly named UNOC as his dream workplace.
Today, that aspiration has come a step closer to reality. Trust has visited UNOC, met with the CEO Proscovia Nabbanja in addition to a guided tour of the offices. The CEO advised Trust on job opportunities in UNOC.
Relatedly, pupils from Mother Manjeri Primary School and Gayaza Junior School, led by Toto Magazine (Vision Group), have visited UNOC and met with the CEO.
The CEO briefed the children on UNOC’s mandate and operations, followed by a guided tour of the company’s offices. The visit intended to inspire the young learners to work hard, dream big, and strive for excellence.
