Our next big project, was to start on the kitchen, we had a crew replace the old laminate countertops with granite and a brand new large sink. Then we took a long weekend to DIY some backsplash, we chose beveled white subway tile since the kitchen is quite dark and the countertops have a lot of movement, something simple with a little flare is really making the kitchen reno come together! We still have lots to do, including sealing the backsplash but it came out beautifully and as first timers, you’d think a professional did it!

Our first home renovation steps were to get all of the old dirty 1990’s carpet out of this house! We replaced all the flooring with LVP, utilizing LVP throughout the home and eliminating carpet makes for cleaning up dog and toddler messes easier and an opportunity to add some stylish rugs once’s we get to the decorating stage.

After the floors, I just needed to lighten up the fire place, the living room has 0 lighting and the red brick fireplace was so dark and drab. Giving the brick a nice German smear really lightened up the space. We have more to do with it yet, but it was a quick and cheap project!

We also took the opportunity of an empty garage to paint the garage floor!

Been MIA lately as we had an unexpected move notice and went through the whole process of buying a house, I’ll likely start posting photos of the home renovations as they come along soon.

In the mean time I’ve been able release some creative energy into my very first laser cut project, light up snow flakes 😂

I’m enjoying learning how to use laser cutting tech and am excited to see what I can create once I’m comfortable. 🙂

Final coat of white and now for design.. let’s just say that taping when you have so many angles doesn’t cut it.. good guideline but I had to mostly freehand these lines which included getting as low as possible.. quite literally on the floor. 😅

Is sanding the fun part? 😅 ..negative! Can’t wait to start painting! Slow progress 🤰🏼 but Baby G is going to have one badass dresser when I’m done with it!
I love that this piece has been handed down through family and will once again be used for our new addition in his room.
Once it’s done, this will be my last big project till after he arrives 🤱🏼 but I will have plenty of small projects in between 😄💙 I can’t stay away from the shop for too long!

With the last project finished and sold, new things are being prepped for refinishing 😄
