SCREENED-IN PORCH COMPLETE!

That’s a wrap on another project for JHJ Renovations LLC and another satisfied customer!

We transformed this covered porch into the perfect spot to enjoy the outdoors without all the bugs getting in the way!

Here’s what we did:
• Removed the old aluminum soffit ceiling and four existing can lights
• Installed a beautiful new natural tongue-and-groove wood ceiling
• Added a ceiling fan in the center to keep things comfortable on those hot summer days
• Installed a custom screened-in porch system to keep the bugs out while still letting you enjoy the fresh air!

The finished product looks great and gives this homeowner a whole new space to relax and enjoy!

Thinking about upgrading your own porch? Now is the perfect time to start planning!

We’re currently booking projects into 2027, but it’s never too early to schedule a FREE consultation. We can get your project planned, materials ordered, and everything ready to go as soon as the weather breaks in the spring!

Sometimes the little things can make a BIG difference!

This home is a great example of how you don’t always need a major renovation to completely change the look of your home.

For this customer, I completed several smaller exterior updates:

✅ Painted the front archway around the entry door and above the front window
✅ Installed a new storm door
✅ Installed new exterior shutters
✅ Installed new brick molding and weatherstripping around the garage door
✅ Painted the existing garage door

The end result? A completely refreshed look!

Sometimes a fresh coat of paint, some new trim, updated shutters, or a new door can go a long way toward making your home look newer and more cared for without taking on a huge renovation project.

If you have a list of those smaller projects around your home that you’ve been putting off, give JHJ Renovations a call! I handle all kinds of handyman and home improvement projects, including painting, doors, trim and molding, flooring, repairs, and much more.

A Fresh Coat Can Change the Whole Look!

Ever thought about repainting your front door, shutters, trim, or other exterior details to give your home a fresh new look without taking on a huge project?

Sometimes a few small changes can make a BIG difference! 🏠✨

Today I had the opportunity to give this home a little refresh with some exterior painting, including the front door and shutters.

While I was there, I also:
🔨 Changed out the storm door closers and installed a new handle
🔨 Installed a new coded/keypad door handle on the interior garage door
🎨 Repainted the front door and exterior shutters

A few smaller projects can really help freshen up the look and functionality of your home without having to take on a major renovation.

And don’t forget about the inside of your home!

❄️ Winter is a great time to knock out those interior painting projects.

Have a room that needs a fresh color?
Trim that needs some attention?
Doors that could use a new look?
A bedroom, hallway, basement, or other space you’ve been putting off?

Let’s get it checked off your list! ✅

JHJ Renovations offers interior & exterior painting, along with a variety of smaller home improvement and handyman services.

Bathroom Refresh & Handyman Project Completed!

Another project completed for a great client!

This bathroom needed some attention, especially after mold had started developing on the ceiling. We addressed the underlying ventilation issue and gave the entire bathroom a fresh, clean look.

Here’s what we took care of:

✅ Installed a new, larger bathroom exhaust fan
✅ Properly vented the exhaust fan through the roof — the old fan was incorrectly vented into the attic
✅ Removed an existing window from the shower and tiled the opening to seamlessly match the existing tile
✅ Removed an old pocket door and drywall-finished the opening, creating additional usable wall space
✅ Fresh paint throughout the bathroom — walls & ceiling
✅ Installed new trim
✅ Fresh caulking around the bathtub
✅ All new interior doors will be installed once the new flooring is completed throughout the rest of the home

The goal wasn’t just to make the bathroom look better, but to correct the existing problems and leave the customer with a properly finished space.

🛠️ Have a list of things around your house that need attention?

Maybe it’s a bathroom that needs refreshed, doors that need installed, drywall repairs, painting, flooring, trim work, caulking, exhaust fans, fixtures, or a bunch of smaller projects you’ve been putting off.

That’s exactly where JHJ Renovations can help.

Whether you have one project or a whole list of smaller projects, reach out and let’s see what we can get taken care of.

Doors are one of those projects that can make a big difference in the look and functionality of your home—but getting them installed correctly takes more than just hanging a door.

🔨 GOT A HONEY-DO LIST THAT NEVER GETS DONE?

You know that list…

The loose door that needs fixed.
The holes in the walls that need patched.
The light fixture that’s been sitting in the box for 6 months.
The TV that still needs hung.
The curtains that need installed.
The trim that needs finished.
The flooring you’ve been meaning to replace.

Life gets busy. The list keeps getting longer.

That’s where JHJ Renovations comes in. 👊

I’m now offering handyman day services for homeowners who have a list of smaller projects that they simply don’t have the time, tools, or reliable person to take care of.

🛠️ HOW IT WORKS:

You make the list. I’ll knock it out.

Send me a list of the things you’ve been putting off, and we’ll schedule a day to get as many items completed as possible for a daily handyman rate.

Depending on the projects, your list could include:

🔨 General repairs & handyman work
🎨 Interior & exterior painting
🧱 Patching holes & drywall repairs
🚪 Doors that don’t close or operate properly
🚪 Installing new doors & trim
🪟 Hanging curtains & blinds
📺 Mounting TVs
💡 Installing lights & ceiling fans
🛁 Installing bathroom fans
🪑 Furniture assembly
🖼️ Hanging pictures, mirrors & shelves
🪵 Trim & molding
🔧 Caulking & finishing work
🏠 Flooring installation
🔨 Fixing work that wasn’t done correctly the first time
…and many other smaller home improvement projects.

Instead of hiring multiple people for a bunch of small jobs, put them all on one list and let me take care of them.

🏠 PROPERTY OWNERS & LANDLORDS

I’m also looking to build relationships with homeowners, landlords, real estate investors and property managers who have multiple properties that need ongoing repairs and maintenance.

If you need a reliable handyman you can call when something needs taken care of, I’d love the opportunity to work with you.

WHY JHJ RENOVATIONS?

✅ 20 years of experience in the building trades
✅ Fully insured
✅ Experienced in a wide range of home improvement work
✅ Reliable & professional
✅ Lots of referrals and repeat customers
✅ One person you can call for all those smaller projects

Stop looking at that list. Let’s get it done.

A New Direction for JHJ Renovations LLC 🔨

This will be the last full bathroom renovation project I take on for the foreseeable future, as I begin shifting my focus toward smaller handyman projects, flooring, painting, and other home improvement services.

I wanted to take a moment to share an update about the direction of JHJ Renovations LLC.

After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to take a step back from taking on large-scale projects such as full bathroom and kitchen remodels. Due to some unforeseen health-related circumstances, I’ve decided that stepping away from these larger, more demanding projects is the best decision for me moving forward.

That doesn’t mean I’m stepping away from the business — quite the opposite. I’m excited to focus more on handyman services, smaller renovation projects, flooring, and painting while expanding the services I offer to homeowners.

Some of the services I’ll be focusing on include:

🔨 General handyman services
🎨 Interior & exterior painting
🪵 Flooring installation
📐 Trim & molding
🚪 Interior door installation
🚽 Minor plumbing — toilets, faucets, etc.
💡 Minor electrical — light fixtures, ceiling fans, etc.
📺 TV mounting
🪞 Mirrors & pictures
🪑 Furniture assembly
💦 Power washing
🔧 And many other smaller home improvement projects

Sometimes stepping back allows you to refocus on what you really enjoy. I’m looking forward to being able to help more homeowners with those smaller projects that often get put off because they’re difficult to find someone willing to take on.

I truly appreciate everyone who has supported JHJ Renovations LLC over the years and trusted me with your homes. I’m excited for this next chapter and look forward to continuing to serve my community one project at a time.

If you have a project around your home that you’ve been putting off, give me a call or send me a message. I’d be happy to see if it’s something I can help with!

Another bathroom transformation in the books! 🙌

For this project, we expanded the space to create room for a full 5-foot shower and give the bathroom a much more open feel. We installed a new shower with glass doors, custom built-in shelving, recessed lighting, new plumbing, updated flooring and trim, and finished it off with a new toilet and grab bars throughout. The extra space also allowed for a larger vanity to complete the upgrade.
