It has been my priviledge to join Alaskans across the Greatland over the years in their living rooms on television, and it's a pleasure to get to know some of you here on Facebook! Rest in Peace Mr. WhitekeysπŸ’”. I think every Alaskan of a certain era probably has a Mr. Whitekeys story. I have many. The Fly by Night Club,
The Whale Fat Follies, Springtime in Spenard...the Spamtones... Really, he was just brilliant. I remember going to the club when he would play and every chance I got, I would request Werewolves of London which apparently he absolutely hated singing but it remains to this day, one of my favorite memories. I also remember his commitment to Operation Santa Claus and many community charities too numerous to mention. He was an Alaskan character through and through, and a rare and engaging talent. You will be missed Douglas Haggar, aka Mr Whitekeys.

I leave you with what Mr. Whitekeys said at the end of every show: "live a life filled with peace, love, and Spam; do something to make the word a better place; and be sure to tip your waitress."πŸ’”πŸ’”πŸ’” πŸ’”
