CHARACTER SPOTLIGHT

I am so excited to be writing, directing, producing, AND acting in my own film ! It truly is one of the most exciting and daunting processes I’ve ever started, but I cannot WAIT to show you guys what I have in my head. I get to play Sarah, our main character and the main source of all your fear lol if you would like to help support this project, check out the gofund me link!

🎃
We’ve all experienced it. That pit in our chest when something we’ve created doesn’t get the attention we think it deserves. That not so subtle obsession with checking your notifications every couple minutes to see if anything’s changed.

Your life would change forever, wouldn’t it? No more financial stress, worrying about where the next paycheck is coming from. No more people telling you you’re wasting your time and to get a “real job”.

It can almost cloud your judgement… make you desperate… obsessed. And to some, this may seem arbitrary, silly, or even stupid. But when you see it as your only way out, it becomes weighted with an importance you didn’t expect.

So when something finally catches that algorithm and your life finally begins to change, it seems like there’s nothing you wouldn’t do to hold on to it. Even if it means losing yourself…

Help me fund my first ever short film!, organized by Marissa Godinez 10/12/2023

Hey guys! I’m producing my first short film, “The Grain”: a film about an aspiring furniture flipper who, in a desperate attempt to gain a social following, takes on a project piece with a dark past. As the story of her haunted armoire begins to gain traction, her following grows… but so does her obsession.

While containing all of the great qualities of a classic Possession film, The Grain offers a modern twist, encouraging its audience to ask, was it the piece that was possessing her, or her desperate need for approval?

The funds collected will be used directly to pay my crew and cast, book locations, make a flashback scene authentically 1800’s, and to invest in equipment that will make this project the best that it can be! If you’d like to help me fund this awesome project, check out the link below!

These pieces were inspired by neo traditional tattoos and street art. I wanted them to feel reclaimed in all manners of the word. The Reclaimed power and sense of self ownership that comes with getting a tattoo. The reclaimed rubble made into murals amongst our city streets. I wanted these to feel dirty and grungy while also enticing one to take a closer look. They aren’t perfect, but that’s the point. And you may not like them, but in some ways, that is also the point. We see things every day that we do not like. But instead of saying something mean or giving your opinion on someone else’s body, lifestyle, or anything else that has absolutely nothing to do with you, I invite you to say nothing and instead, look at them and find something you do like about them. Searching out the positives is not only beneficial for other people, but also for yourself. So do it until it’s all you ever notice ❤️

I used so many different techniques that I have never used before for this piece. It is nowhere near finished, but I am so proud of this design. I can’t wait to get them all done! Part 2 of my YouTube video coming out next Sunday

Love the drama of the black paint and the deep orange wood. This piece was super fun to work on. I just love doing bar cabinets. They have so much potential and can look incredible with just a little lovin ❤️

Swipe for the before! This adorable bar cabinet is going to it’s new home this week after months of searching for the perfect piece. It’s gorgeous zebra wood was such a treat to restore and I love the way it turned out. I’m so happy I was able to keep the original parts in all their distressed glory! 😍
