That's a wrap! This is an announcement that Twin Audio will be closing shop.

Thanks everyone here who has supported Twin Audio and trusted us with your cable needs. We have closed shop as a build-to-order cable business. Simply, I have become too busy with mixing sound to continue to build cables at a reasonable price and provide the service level that I want.

For all of our existing customers, if you need cables made to expand what you've purchased from Twin Audio, we will accomodate you and make sure we get you to a qualified shop.

All of our products are guaranteed for life. We will continue to honor repairs for all of our products.

For Hydra Cable owners, we will continue to build whatever Hydra cables you need for the next few years, so that you can complete your system build.

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your support and patronage.

A pair of Arri Alexa audio input cables. These break the two-channel 5 pin XLR out into a pair of standard single channel XLRs. Low profile with top-exit cables.

Just wrapped up a few low profile custom cables for a customer's Zaxcom Maxx build. A special order AES input cable will interface with 4 channels of AES digital audio. A dual IFB output cable will provide two independent channels of IFB sends. The boom cable is adapted with a low profile connector to keep the bottom of the Maxx bag tight and tidy.

Another project out the door. A full Hydra cable set to swap many channels of wireless between Zaxcom Nomad and Maxx soundbags with only a pair of connections needed.

Nothing like a new X-Acto razor. These must be 30 years old and are a dream to cut with.

Completed Hydra cables with low profile connectors. The Hydra head cable allows both TA3 and XLR connections with wireless receivers, with short cables adapting each channel quickly.

The Tail side of this system feeds a Sound Devices 633 on inputs 2/3/4/5. Channel 1 will be the boom.

Low profile connectors can reduce your mixer width by up to 3", giving plenty of room for your hands to reach in, or simply to keep a smaller, tighter soundbag. Low profile Hydra cables dramatically improve bag routing and are up to 25% lighter than standard cables.

Twin Audio's low profile have just had their resin end caps poured. Several are in the mix including a custom gray and purple color schemed cable set.

Low profile cables can eliminate up to 1 pound in weight from an eight channel soundbag, and can shave 3 inches off the width of a mixer, compared to full-sized connectors.

Having extra inches of space in a tight soundbag allows easier hand access to any side controls, an easier time patching cables to the underside of receivers and a cleaner cable run.

Low profile Hydra cables are the pinnacle of what a soundbag cable system can be. Cable clutter is eliminated. Each cable has four channels of balanced audio and every cable detaches in the middle, so that various receivers, mixers and recorders can all be quick "plug-n-play" affairs.

Shorties!

It's what's on the inside that counts! Twin Audio takes great pride in the craftsmanship and details of our cable work.

Pictured 8 channel AES input fanout for a customer's Zaxcom Deva recorder. A custom expander allows the Mogami cable to seat snugly in the 15 pin D Sub housing and provides strain relief.

The color scheme uses standard resistor color coding via Neutrik colored rings and boots to mark the channel pairs of each XLR.
