this little fella had some serious internal bleedin. i loved the knots in the wood and couldn’t say no to picking this piece up.
anyways- i had to rebuild the drawer slides, wood fill some holes, and level out the bottom. then put a couple coats of linen white paint, a couple coats of early american on the drawers and top. found some aftermarket legs, threw those on. sealed the top and called it a day.
total statement piece for the bedroom, i’d be keeping it if i had the room

This lil credenza, bookshelf, TV stand, blah, blah, what have you - was not in the best of shapes when we got it. By the looks of it, it may have been one of those storage headboards for a queen size bed that someone tried to salvage. Anyways, this fu**er took forever to sand - but I’d say it was worth it
Sanded this dude down raw, leveled out and reattached the shelves, stained the main body with Early American, stained the backing with Varathane Espresso, and put on a satin polyurethane topcoat. Oh, and then color matched and slapped on some aftermarket legs - swipe to see before
All in all, I’m stoked keep this one and look at this piece every day when I watch
(Not for sale, for my own personal enjoyment 🤠)

🤠 SOLD 🤠 Mobile Adjustable Desk
This desk on wheelies thing is pretty neat. I like that the table top is adjustable in height and that the drink stand looking thingy can be taken off entirely if desired. Enough about me - I bought this poor little dude in pieces. Broken desk top, layers of smudge, ink marks, etc. I basically restructured and re supported the desk top, cleaned and sanded out any imperfections, wiped all the old grime out, and the dude is ready to roll - swipe to see before
Dimensions: 27.5” L x 18” W x 32”-37” H (like I said adjustable)
Could be a simple vanity in a bedroom, could be a side table, or it could go in tandem with a chair and be a sweet rolling desk - you have options, my friends!

Well howdy, y’all 🤠 Welcome to Off The Road Restorations, the COVID-19 love child of singer/ songwriter Parker Chapin. Located in Austin, TX
Since I write songs and play music in various places across Texas and the US for most of my living, and the wonderful COVID-19 came along fu**ed some things up in that department, I’ve started restoring and selling furniture
I find pieces on Facebook Marketplace, thrift stores, off the road (see what I did there), estate sales, from friends who give me s**t they don’t want anymore, etc, ad infinitum
My pricing is based off how many hours went into the restoration, if it’s a legit vintage brand, I’ll consider the going rate for that particular brand/ piece, and I’ll also take into consideration all the materials, paint, finish, k***s, legs, furniture accessories, etc that I put into the piece. That’s about it. Fair and square! Not trying to break anyone’s bank. Tryna have some good clean family fun up in here.
Pieces are available unless noted as “SOLD” in the description. Delivery is available for a fee if in the Austin area. Pickup is always available
DM me with any questions or if a piece catches your eye and you’d like to buy 🤠
