The Morris County Board of County Commissioners welcomes the public to join in the county’s 2026 Annual Veterans Day Ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. in the Administration and Records Building at 10 Court St., Morristown. The program will be livestreamed on the county’s page: https://www.facebook.com/MorrisCountyNJ.
This year’s program will feature the presentation of Morris County Distinguished Military Service Medals to six local veterans.

• Darwin R. Martell, Wharton
• Raymond Jones, Denville

The event coincides with Operation Green Light, a nationwide initiative encouraging counties and residents to display green lights from Nov. 4 through Veterans Day, Nov. 11, as a symbol of support for veterans. Morris County is extending the campaign through Nov. 12, the day of its ceremony, and invites residents and business owners to do the same.

During the ceremony, the Morris County Board of County Commissioners also will honor the memories of two local patriots of the American Revolution as we close out the 2026 celebration activities of the America’s 250th anniversary.
