Considering it for your project? Elm is a dynamic neutral, neither dark nor light, and definitely not too formal. It has a well-pronounced grain pattern, a natural iridescence, and, often, a delightfully irregular shape. The natural hardness checks out between African Mahogany and Cherry.

We have closed the 26th Street showroom on the longest night of the year, and when the doors open next we will be just a few blocks away at 3225 Prairie Avenue.

In 2025, BFA celebrates 40 years in business (🤯). Prairie Ave. will be our *sixth* location in that time, so we’re used to staying agile as the city grows and changes around us.

For the first time, 26th Street let us combine the showroom and workshop under one roof for a totally new experience. We saw a blank 100-foot wall, and got in with muralists .pinyot.designs and the many-armed . Hannah joined the board at and in a flash it’s nearly 2025 and our littlest team member is outgrowing his overalls.

We take with us 8 years of memories with some of the greatest humans you could know — coworkers and clients alike. The combined showroom and workshop has become essential to the BFA experience, and we can’t wait to show you what’s next. See you there!!!

We’re spending December in gratitude for the ride-or-dies. The Rudolph to our sleigh is .muffin and his tacklebox of tools. Derrick has been with BFA for 8 years and counting, and his family is ours now, too. Self-described “Nebraska farm boy” turned master finisher, he’s the one behind our signature epoxy resin process, and executes visions never seen anywhere else.

A few more deliveries today, then we’re cozying up with family and friends to give thanks for all we have, those we love, and the ties that bind it all together. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at BFA!! 🦃🥂🙏
