FUN FACT: Rustic Timbers actually started with a log bed! 🪵
And not just any log bed… which makes this extremely gnarly aspen bed a pretty fitting way to tell our story!
When the Zell family first moved to Table Rock Lake, son Bobby had one request — he wanted a log bed.
Simple enough, right? Well, not quite.
As dad Bob started searching, he quickly realized that the selection was limited, the quality wasn’t quite what he was looking for, and he was pretty convinced he could do better himself.
What started as an idea to build the furniture himself soon turned into something much bigger. Bob realized he didn’t necessarily need to make every piece — he just needed to find the right people who took pride in their work, believed in quality craftsmanship, and stood behind what they built.
And that’s how Rustic Timbers began!
Fast forward to today, and our little search for a log bed has grown into relationships with talented furniture builders all across the Midwest!
🪵 17+ shops we work closely with on a regular basis.
🪵 20+ additional builders we partner with for specialty pieces and unique projects.
And the best part? These aren’t just names in a catalog. They’re real people we’ve built real relationships with over the years. Craftsmen who care about the details, take pride in what they create, and build furniture that’s meant to be enjoyed for generations.
That’s something we’re incredibly proud to bring to our customers.
Quality. Craftsmanship. Durability. Furniture built to last a lifetime.
All because one kid wanted a log bed. ❤️
And judging by this wild aspen beauty, we’d say we’ve come a pretty long way!
