A building so iconic, it needs little introduction. If you’ve spent time in NY, you’ve passed Spring and Bowery—this late 1800s landmark, later occupied for decades by photographer Jay Maisel. For years, it remained a kind of archive with details preserved.

Now, we’re stepping inside. Uhuru’s new showroom opens within The Parlor —offering a closer look at our work shaping spaces across the city and beyond.

This week, come through.

May 16, 4–9 PM
190 Bowery

For International Women’s Day, we’re taking a moment to recognize one of the forces behind Uhuru- , our VP of Sales. Sharp instincts, steady leadership, and the rare ability to move big ideas forward without losing the human side of the work.

Melissa embodies the kind of leadership we believe in at Uhuru—bold thinking, collaborative spirit, a lot of grit behind the scenes, and pushing the industry somewhere new. And she’s far from alone. Across our studio and rep network, an incredibly strong group of women are helping shape the future of American design. Here’s to the women who keep things moving 💥

(A little late, but we’ll never miss an opportunity to celebrate strong women)

A better angle on collaboration.
Our 120° sit-stand workstations create space to focus—without turning away from the team. Defined territory, open sightlines, and shared momentum in one continuous height adjustable system. Swipe for some of our favorite concepts.

Warm woods, tailored proportions, and a quiet, library-like rhythm. Our custom height-adjustable workstations channel mid-century ease while scaling effortlessly—proof that thoughtful design can feel intimate, even at a larger scale.

We designed the Milo Work Bar to elevate transitional spaces into hubs for collaboration. Whether in office commons or lounges, it creates opportunities for connection where work and interaction naturally intersect — embodying the pace of modern collaboration.

Sculptural in presence, precise in form. Our Milo Conference Table base transforms steel into a foundation that balances utility with poise.

Customization doesn’t have to be complicated. Our approach to private office systems begins with a flexible foundation and a versatile kit of parts.

In this installation, we paired a customized wardrobe and display with walnut and matte accents—delivering a bespoke look while keeping the design process simple. It’s a clear example of how modularity and customization can work together to create offices that feel both personal and efficient.

Our Split Base Fixed Workstations form the foundation of this bright office. Grounding the open space, the benching brings structure and flow while maintaining openness—serving as the backbone of productivity and connection through adaptable design.

Our Milo Work Bar offers a standing-height alternative to classic conference tables—ideal for quick touch points, impromptu collaboration, and transitional zones like airport lounges. Built on our Minim Conference System, Work Bars can be customized to support the unique rhythm of many spaces.
