Quartz is getting warmer.
Manufacturers spent this year's Kitchen & Bath Industry Show leading with creamy off-whites, greige, and soft taupe. Veining in gold and chocolate rather than cool steel. It's a shift worth knowing about if you're planning a kitchen, because warm tones tend to hold up better under Minnesota's flat winter light than cooler ones do.
Finishes are moving too. Matte and leathered surfaces are showing up on more projects, and they hide fingerprints better than polished surfaces. That matters on an island where everybody sets down a glass.
