Collaboration from Day One Leads to Better Outcomes
The Owen Ames Kimball project is a great example of the power of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD). By joining the project team early, we were able to collaborate closely to develop furniture solutions that aligned with the organization’s goals, operations, and culture.
One of the highlights of this process was the transformation of the 7th-floor café.
Originally, the space featured heavy millwork and ornate detailing. The design team at Ghafari thoughtfully reimagined the café, preserving its exceptional craftsmanship while creating a brighter, lighter, and more inviting environment.
Working side by side with Ghafari, we carefully selected furniture that complemented the refreshed design while supporting the way the space would be used. The result is a café that offers comfortable areas for relaxation alongside flexible spaces that can easily accommodate team gatherings, meetings, or everyday lunches.
Our collaboration extended beyond the furniture. We also curated and installed the finishing accessories, ensuring the space was fully complete—from floor to ceiling—before the client moved in.
When every detail is considered early in the process, the result is more than a beautiful space—it’s a seamless experience that reflects the client’s vision and supports the people who use it every day.
