👉 Micheal Hartis recently made a gavel from storm-damaged Lafayette cedar. This is a tradition started in the late 1970s by Floyd Boykin, Lucy’s father who started Boykin Furniture, who made gavels for local dignitaries. Two years ago, Michael started making gavels to continue the tradition and has made three.
