Very unique condition in this home presented us with the challenge of concealing a pantry and making the refrigerator appear as part of the kitchen (outside frame to the left).

The challenge didn’t stop at design! The middle unit is operational and rolls out with a full height storage system, and the larger righthand unit is equipped with giant doors that recede back into pocket to keep the walkway clear.

Challenging all around, but that’s what a custom shop is for!

All this kitchen needed was a new island and tops to feel entirely new. The island features some our favorite staple for custom cabinets - custom container storage, hidden trash drawer, and rollout shelves behind the doors. All the doors and fronts are solid white oak with a beaded profile and inset orientation to really set it apart as its own, unique piece of woodworking.

Been off socials for awhile - but can’t not post this one!

We salvaged enough of this rough sawn American from one of our clients old, torn down, barns to make them this dining set.

One of the most satisfying things we do around here is crafting things that we know will be in a family or home for generations. Even cooler is that the material has already been serving this family in a different way for generations prior!

Starting to feel like a production shop these days, making everything from scratch on a project with almost 100 components (doors, drawer fronts and boxes). That’s nearly 500 individual pieces -to cut, plane, rip, final cut, shape, sand, assemble.

Not complaining, this work is a blessing. Just want to point out what it takes to do a “simple” cabinet update! This project is replacing only the doors/fronts and drawer boxes. Not even building carcasses, finished panels, etc!

This current kitchen project really reminds me of what makes custom cabinetry different. Most of the time, you have very limited options to make your cabinets look more like fitted furniture rather than an assembly of boxes.

The details on this kitchen, specifically the end panels, are really going to make this space feel elevated! As much as it has been a pain to build 😅
