Have you been told to wear a nightguard for your jaw pain, but you’re still waking up with headaches, tight jaw muscles, or facial pain?

You’re not alone.

A nightguard can help protect your teeth, but it may not address the muscle tension contributing to your discomfort.

At Cloud & Doty, we provide clinical TMJ massage and targeted myofascial treatment for people dealing with:

• Jaw pain, clicking, or limited movement
• Clenching and grinding
• Tension headaches or temple pain
• Tight facial muscles
• Ear discomfort related to jaw tension

Our goal is to look beyond the symptoms and work with the muscular tension that may be contributing to them.

You don’t have to keep pushing through the discomfort.

Send us a message to learn more about how specialized TMJ massage may help.

No referral required.

Cloud & Doty offers therapeutic massage to relieve acute and chronic symptoms related to TMJ dysfunction, headaches, migraines, and stress.

A new service that we offer is vibroacoustic therapy to calm the nervous system. It’s a relaxing experience that uses low frequency vibrations and sound to help you slow down and feel more settled.

Whether you’re coming in for focused TMJ work or simply need time to unwind, we can make space for both your muscles and your nervous system.

Message us if you’d like to learn more or add vibroacoustic therapy to your next session.

When the muscles surrounding the TMJ become tight or overworked, you may experience:

• Jaw pain or clicking
• Headaches and migraines
• Facial, neck, or shoulder tension
• Ear pressure or discomfort
• Difficulty opening your mouth
• Pain while chewing
• Clenching or grinding

Clinical TMJ massage focuses on the muscles of the jaw, face, head, and neck to help reduce tension, improve mobility, and calm an overworked nervous system.

You don’t have to keep accepting jaw pain as “normal.” If your jaw is affecting your comfort, sleep, or daily life, let’s talk about how massage may help.

Migraines and chronic headaches are rarely caused by just one thing.

For many people, the answer isn’t found in a single treatment, medication, or specialist. Headaches are often the result of multiple contributing factors including TMJ dysfunction, muscle tension, stress, posture, sleep issues, hormonal changes, nutrition, vision concerns, and more.

At Cloud & Doty, we don’t claim to be the entire solution, but we are often a very important piece of the puzzle.

Our specialized TMJ dysfunction and headache therapy focuses on addressing muscular tension, jaw dysfunction, and trigger points that can contribute to head, face, neck, and jaw pain. Just as importantly, we help connect the dots and guide you toward other resources and providers when needed.

Our goal is simple: to help you put the pieces together so you can finally understand what’s contributing to your pain and create a plan that works for you.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

It seems like buccal massage is trending on social media right now. We get the question as to what's the difference between buccal massage and what we do.

Buccal Massage vs Therapeutic TMJ Massage

Buccal Massage (spa style) is typically a relaxation-focused facial massage that may include light intraoral (inside the cheek) work. It's designed to improve circulation, reduce puffiness, encourage lymphatic flow, promote relaxation, and create a sculpted, glowing look. It feels amazing and is generally aesthetic and spa-oriented.

Therapeutic TMJ Massage (clinical approach) is treatment-based and designed for people dealing with jaw pain, clicking and popping joints, headaches and migraines, clenching and grinding, facial tension, limited jaw opening, and post-dental or orthodontic tension. This work may include targeted intraoral muscle release, myofascial therapy, cranial work, and assessment of the surrounding neck and head structures. It is intentional, specific, and based on dysfunction, not aesthetics.

Both have value but serve different goals.

If you or someone you know is suffering from jaw issues or headaches and feels that Therapeutic TMJ Massage would be beneficial, please reach out or schedule online.

Cloud & Doty offers therapeutic massage to relieve acute and chronic symptoms related to TMJ dysfunction, headaches, migraines, and stress.
