For Ponder ISD, the vision was clear, and we were proud to help bring it to life.

Lone Star Furnishings worked with WRA Architects to furnish the new 228,000 sq. ft. Ponder High School with flexible, student-centered learning environments. Key spaces include:

- CTE labs designed for real-world skill development
- Commons and lounge areas furnished for community and connection
- Flexible classroom furniture to support a range of teaching styles
- Collaborative student tables and mobile seating for group work

We believe space shapes learning, and this campus is a powerful example.

In light of the devastating floods across Kerr County and the Hill Country, our team has made a $5,000 donation to support on-the-ground relief and recovery efforts.

As a Texas-based company, Lone Star Furnishings is deeply connected to the communities we serve, both inside and outside the classroom.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to every family affected by this tragedy.

Honoring a Legacy: The Rhonda Ellington Showroom

Lone Star Furnishings is honored to announce that our Carrollton showroom will now be named the Rhonda Ellington Showroom in recognition of Rhonda’s incredible impact on our company and the industry.

After more than a decade of leadership, innovation, and dedication, Rhonda Ellington, our Vice President of Sales, is retiring. Since joining in 2014, Rhonda has played a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategies, mentoring our team, and championing innovative, student-centered learning environments. Her passion for excellence and her deep industry expertise have left a lasting mark—not just on Lone Star Furnishings but on the entire educational furniture industry.

🎁 Making a Global Impact with Operation Christmas Child 🌍

At Lone Star Furnishings, giving back is part of who we are. Recently, we had the privilege of participating in Operation Christmas Child, an initiative that allows us to pack and send shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, and essentials to children in need across the globe.

We’re excited to share that the shoeboxes our team packed at the end of the year made their way to Paraguay, bringing smiles and joy to children who deserve it most. None of this would have been possible without the generosity of our employees and friends, who donated items and joined us in packing the boxes with care and love.

Although the holidays are behind us, our commitment to this mission continues year-round. We’re already looking forward to “Christmas in July,” when we’ll begin collecting supplies for next season’s boxes. Together, we can keep making a difference in the lives of children around the world.

Last week, the Lone Star Furnishings crew, along with some friends from Fomcore, stepped out of the office and into the kitchen for an unforgettable team-building event. Together, we prepared baked brie, chicken mustard, roasted veggies, and petites madeleines - all while engaging in some friendly competition to see who could plate up the best dish.

The kitchen was full of laughter, a little bit of chaos, and plenty of great food. Spending time together outside of work reminded us how much we appreciate our team and the connections we share.
