This was a custom piece. The lady had it painted the yellow years ago and asked me to redo it.
It definitely was a lot of work. Lots of sanding and stripping paint.

Been a little while since I've been able to do some furniture. Some much-needed therapy for sure. I had zero plans thought out for this peace and there were times I thought it looked a hot mess. But it's coming together nicely. I decided to experiment with different colored waxes and how to blend them. I've used some solid color waxes and some colorshifting wax from Miss Lillian's NO WAX Chock Paint

I love that this piece changes colors with different lighting and angles. It reminds me of the ocean🌊.

I did this piece a year ago. I decided to keep it for a while and enjoy it's beauty. But the time has come for it to find a new home. This one is available.

Let me just say.. all paints 🎨 aren't alike. I picked a different brand of paint because I liked the color. I had so much trouble with it streaking and not giving the coverage I needed.
I put this project to the side for a few weeks cause it was irritating me😅

I decided to come back to it and mix my usual paint in with the current paint. Much better but.. it wasn't the original color I was hoping for. I do love the color that it ended up being.
Sometimes our original vision doesn't come through but it turns out for the best anyway.

I mixed metallic sapphire, greek blue, and lollipop for the main color.
Blended Greek blue, lollipop, persnickty, and Adelaide on the panels.

I wanted to do something bright and fun. Bright colors make me happy so when I designed this print for the top I knew it would be perfect for this purple I've been waiting patiently to use for the perfect piece. This piece brings me joy.
