🏠 This week’s grantee spotlight is Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville, which helps local families access affordable housing and make critical home repairs.

For older adults, Habitat’s home repair program in Greene and Louisa counties allows seniors to safely age in place. In 2025 alone, Habitat completed 16 repairs, including fixing unsafe porches and decks and installing accessibility ramps.

We are proud to provide grant funding to organizations like Habitat, supporting the work they do to improve the lives of older adults throughout our community. When you shop at Twice Is Nice, you make this support possible.

🏡 For older adults living on fixed incomes, an unexpected expense or a costly winter heating bill can create serious financial challenges. This week’s grantee spotlight is GRACE (Greene Alliance of Church/Community Efforts), a nonprofit providing practical assistance to Greene County residents in need.

GRACE’s programs are especially valuable to seniors, offering emergency financial assistance, help with winter heating costs through Warm Hearts for Warm Homes, and an annual Seniors Christmas Program that provides gifts to residents ages 55 and older.

With the help of local churches, volunteers, and community donors, GRACE supports older adults and families facing difficult circumstances. We’re proud to support their work serving Greene County seniors!
