BEFORE & AFTER

🌿This beautiful vintage corner cabinet went from a worn, dated piece to a timeless focal point through a complete restoration. Every detail was carefully refinished to preserve its character while giving it a fresh, elegant look.

🌿What makes this transformation even more special is our client’s reaction. Once the cabinet was delivered, she was thrilled to see how naturally it complemented her dining table—even though it was never part of the original dining set. The colors, style, and character came together as if they had always belonged together.

🌿This is one of the things we enjoy most about restoring furniture: giving well-crafted pieces a second life while helping them become a beautiful part of a family’s home once again.

🌿 A Thoughtful Restoration That Honors the Beauty of Solid Wood 🌿 Project Finished-Client’s Piece🌿

Every furniture restoration tells a story, and this vintage corner cabinet was no exception. While time had left its mark, the cabinet still possessed beautiful craftsmanship, solid construction, and timeless character worthy of preservation.

Our goal was not simply to repaint it, but to thoughtfully restore it while celebrating the warmth and beauty of its natural wood.

To achieve this transformation, the cabinet was completely disassembled, allowing every component to be restored individually with the attention to detail it deserved. Each piece was carefully cleaned, repaired, stripped, sanded, and meticulously prepared to ensure a flawless, long-lasting finish.

Every stage of the restoration—from surface preparation and repairs to priming, painting, staining, protective topcoats, and reassembly—was completed with precision and care. Each finish was selected not only for its beauty but also for its durability, ensuring this piece will continue to serve another generation.

The result is a timeless cabinet that blends classic craftsmanship with modern cottage farmhouse elegance. It retains its original charm while offering a fresh, restored updated look that complements today’s interiors homes.

At Furniture Makeover – My Maker’s Touch, we believe that true restoration is about more than changing the appearance of a piece. It’s about respecting its history, preserving its craftsmanship, and creating furniture that will be treasured for years to come.

Craftsmanship. Quality. Timeless Beauty.
