What a wonderful chapter meeting we had today for NAPO Chicago . Paula Ripple of Organizewell takes such good care of our chapter and we're so lucky to have her. Today we talked about managing client expectations in light of the increasing popularity of organizing influencers and shows. As always, this group brought so much insight. It was great seeing you all!

Don't throw those high quality boxes away! This is my favorite hack for your sock drawer. Organizing doesn't necessarily require buying expensive products. Use what you already have and solve two problems at once. Cheers!

NAPO Summit 2025 was a huge success and I was happy to be part of the host city welcoming crew! I can't wait to incorporate all I learned into my business and to act on the inspiration I gleaned. Organizers are on the front lines of a huge societal shift in how we view "stuff" and everyone can benefit from our services. If you're in Northwest Chicagoland, don't hesitate to send me a message!

I'm BEYOND touched by Dobra at Delightful Pastries. When my request for a donation was accepted, I had no idea she was going to pour her whole heart into this incredibly thoughtful and valuable gift basket. Copper cookware, beautiful cookbooks, and delectable tea and goodies from her bakery are included. It's so encouraging to meet others in my local community who care as much about public education as I do. I truly believe that supporting local schools has a ripple effect in the community and I'm so grateful to live among likeminded individuals. I'm also so happy to support the local businesses that are the pillars of our neighborhood. So go visit the lovely folks at Delightful Pastries. Their food is delicious and their hearts are genuine!

Congratulations to our Volunteer of the Month, Michelle Cicirello, owner of Momentum Organizing! Michelle is part of our DEI committee and she worked hard to bring our November chapter meeting’s DEI presentation to life.
She's a tremendous asset to our chapter and we thank her for her dedication!

It was an honor and a privilege to volunteer my services this past weekend to Chicago's newest public school, the yet to be named Early Childhood Center. Moving everything from their temporary location and getting unpacked and set up in one weekend was a true challenge but, as always, teachers give it their everything. This school is a gift to our community and I'm so proud to have participated.

Let's talk about medicine and first aid. Your bathroom "medicine" cabinet is a terrible place to keep medicine and medical supplies. The heat from your shower can break down medications, and that space should really be reserved for dental care and grooming to begin with. If you're fortunate enough to have a linen closet to store these items, take advantage. It's especially helpful if you have kids or pets. Those late night troubles can be so disruptive but having first aid organized and easy to access can really take the edge off. See the photos for specific tips. Oh- and don't forget to purge expired medications! Make this part of another repeating process such as changing the clocks for daylight savings.

Little changes can make a big difference. This client was frustrated by the clutter that inevitably collected on top of a cabinet near her front door. Corralling it in a simple but attractive bin alleviates the appearance of clutter until the items can be returned to their homes.
