For example, Serta will tell their dealers that they can not sell a certain mattress for less than $1,000. The dealers can sell the mattress for more than $1,000 but not less.So all discount Serta stores sell the same mattress for pretty much the same price.The 80% off, 60% off, coupons, an additional $100 off, clearance sale don't matter. This is part of the reason I did not want to be a Serta store. Five Star lets me sell at whatever price I want. I can offer the lowest prices because I have the lowest overhead.
