Furniture store offering interior design, custom sofas, solid wood & more. Voted Best of Chico '22, ‘23 and '24!

Esplanade Furniture began as a small unfinished furniture store in 1982. Much of the furniture we sold was manufactured by the owner Dann Moser. With the North Valley’s demand for quality all wood furniture, business quickly grew. We still offer unfinished furniture but we have grown to be a full-service furniture store, offering interior design, quality sofas, recliners, mattresses and, of course, solid wood dressers, dining tables, entertainment and TV cabinets, and much more.

Deep seats. A chaise built for stretching out. Fabric you'll want to touch.

This sage green sectional just landed on our showroom floor, and it's already the spot everyone sits down on first. The textured weave is soft without being fussy, and the seat depth means you can actually curl up in it.

Come give it the real test. Sit, lean back, put your feet up. That's what it's here for.

Seven woods. Dozens of stains. One dining table, built your way.

Cherry, maple, walnut, red oak, quarter sawn white oak, hickory, plus a full row of painted finishes. Every block on this board is real wood, so you can see how the grain takes the color before you decide.

Stop by and pull a few off the wall. Our team will help you match it to your floor, your cabinets, or the piece you already love.

Three tables, three very different dinner parties. 🍽️

Rustic plank top with hand-scraped character and a scrolled iron base? We've got it. A compact counter-height set that fits a smaller kitchen without giving up seats? Got that too. A farmhouse-style table with turned legs, a bench, and room for the whole crew? Yep, that one's here as well.

Photos only tell half the story. Come run your hand across the grain, pull up a chair, and see which one feels like home. Our team will walk you through sizes, finishes, and what fits your space.

Two family businesses on one bed. 🛏️

Our Whittier Wood bedroom sets are built with solid hardwoods, dovetail drawers, and mortise and tenon joinery. Pair one with a Diamond Mattress, family owned since 1946 and handcrafted in the USA, and you've got a bedroom built to last for decades.

The best part? You don't have to guess. Come lie down, open the drawers, and feel the difference for yourself. Our team will help you find the right fit.

Statement pieces don't come off an assembly line. 🏔️🌊

From a mountain range pieced together in reclaimed wood, to warm walnut framed in maple, to a river of deep blue resin flowing through solid maple and walnut, every one of these cabinets has a story built right into the grain.

Come see them in person at Esplanade Furniture. Photos don't do the wood justice.

Nobody refinishes a particleboard dresser.

Solid wood takes a ding and you sand it out. A joint loosens and you glue it and clamp it. Strip the top 30 years in, re-stain it, and it goes to somebody's kid.

Particleboard with a printed finish does not get any of that. It swells once and it is done.

That is the whole argument for solid wood, and it is why we carry the lines we do.

Come see it at 1750 Esplanade, open 7 days.
