That’s the way it is… with 4 kids. Three of them little girls who would happily turn every available corner of our house into a craft room. 😂
BUT… it doesn’t have to be that way.
Instead of buying something new, I went shopping in my own house again. 😉
An old IKEA KALLAX shelf + some paint + new modern furniture legs = a completely new craft space for the girls AND a home for something I love too… my record collection. 🎶
The shelf had been sitting around without really serving much of a purpose, so I gave it a little facelift and turned it into something that actually works for our family.
And I love that it’s not just a craft space. The girls have their supplies organized and accessible, while my records and record player have a home too. Since Ryan surprised me with the record player for Christmas, the girls have had so much fun discovering my records and listening to them with me. ❤️
BEFORE: An old IKEA shelf that wasn’t really doing much.
AFTER: A functional craft station, record storage, and a space that works for both my girls and me.
And honestly, that’s one of my favorite parts of doing these projects. Sometimes you don’t need more stuff. You just need to look at what you already have a little differently.
This one took me a little while to tackle between the usual chaos of everyday life with four kids, but I’m really loving finding new purpose for things we already have in our homes.
Because if we’re going to cram four kids, all their stuff, and approximately 47 million craft supplies into one house, we might as well make it cute. 😂
That’s what Remade by Rinker is all about: taking what you already have and turning it into something that works better for your home and your life.
Have something sitting around that you think could have a whole new purpose but you just don’t have the time (or maybe the vision) to figure it out? Send me a message! I’d love to chat about what we could remake together. 🛠️✨
