George Nelson’s approach to storage began with a forward-thinking idea: make it part of the architecture. His 1944 Storage Wall concept later influenced the Thin Edge Collection, known for its refined proportions and craftsmanship.
Now, the iconic collection takes on a new expression in White Oak.

For Eero Saarinen, great design began with finding the essential idea.
His approach to simplicity and purpose is embodied in the iconic Tulip Chair, designed to eliminate the visual clutter of traditional furniture legs through one sculptural pedestal. Created as part of his longtime collaboration with Florence Knoll, the design has become an enduring symbol of mid-century modernism and Saarinen’s influence on modern design.

Our Cincinnati and Dayton Design teams recently spent a few days at MillerKnoll, exploring the MillerKnoll Archives and getting an up-close look at iconic pieces and the design history behind the brands we work with every day.
The trip was organized by Jeff Schultz, Market Vice President, Dayton & Memphis, and Tim Smallwood, Market Vice President, Cincinnati, alongside MillerKnoll representative Joanna Freeman. Along the way, there was plenty of time for new ideas, inspiration, team connection, and even a little creativity outside the showroom.
Thank you to MillerKnoll for welcoming our team and creating such a memorable experience. We’re excited to bring that inspiration back to the clients and spaces we serve!

The APG Cincinnati team recently traded the office for the golf course at the 2026 IIDA Cincinnati/Dayton Open.
Members of our team joined colleagues from CBRE, KZF Design, and McGill Smith Punshon, Inc., along with other architecture and design firms from across the region, for a morning of golf, conversation, and a little friendly competition. It was a great opportunity to connect outside of our day-to-day work, strengthen industry relationships, and spend time with the local design community.
Thanks to the IIDA Ohio Kentucky Chapter for bringing everyone together for a great morning on the course!
