In this Kinsella Custom Cabinetry-built home office, Sherwin-Williams Iron Ore paint and gray-stained Rift Cut White Oak combine along a nearly 20-foot long wall to create the best combination of storage and open display for loved items. The desk area doors are open, and can be closed to conceal the spaghetti wiring for the computer system. The custom-fabricated metal base gets a 1 1/2" thick patterned glass top, and faces both the window and entry doors to the room. Collaborating with the client--who didn't want "everyone's" bookcase--we decided to hang the bookcase from the ceiling, and add stainless to the paint/oak combination. A whole lot of engineering and some 8-foot threaded rods were involved. 🙃
