We have seen all the same ol same ai ads, but AI has its perks. One of them being the ability to quickly visualize a space with your ideas before investing or trial and error designs. This space was empty and kind of awkward. So we asked chat what it would look like with some plant shelves and an aquarium. We loved the idea of having another place to style as well as functional for our gecko enclosure. We opt for shaker style cabinets instead of a freestanding piece of furniture to match the rest of the house. Overall I love that we have the ability to see the vision we have and use it as inspiration.

Ppl always ask for WIP pictures, but if I do remember to take one, the in betweens always make me second guess what the heck I’m doing 😂 this inlay was one of them.

This started as a piece of 1/4” maple, walnut and cherry that was laser cut then pieced together.

A stencil was made to cut out the “hole” for it to sit.

This was the part I thought I F’d up. Pouring the epoxy between the gaps had me a wreck. Plus the extremely HOT weather during this time made it less than ideal to pour.

Overall it came together

The feeling when a project is delivered. 😚👌🏼

One of the most difficult parts… not the designing. Not the building… but the photos. 😅 took a scroll down memory lane.. these just sitting in the camera roll… I was asked recently what my favorite thing to build is and I have to say, bedroom furniture. I love the statement these pieces can make to your room. I say this… while my bed is still on the box frame on the floor. 😂

🦋 Dolly Parton earned her wings in heaven, but I couldn’t help but want to embrace them earthside too. 🦋

Being a Tennessee native, it’s probably no surprise that the passing of our queen was heartbreaking. Turns out, I process my grief by painting.

The next mural for was supposed to be an end-of-summer scene… but when I got the text from my teen breaking the news, I immediately knew I HAD to change plans and pay tribute to her legacy.

It doesn’t even need to be said—this woman was iconic. Not just because of her music, talent, resilience, or ambition, but because of the way she used all of it to do so much good for others.

Her kindness. Her generosity. Her humor. Her humility. The way she gave simply because she could. She was truly the embodiment of humanity, and the kind of person I want to strive to be—not just because of what she accomplished, but because of who she chose to be along the way.

When in doubt… LIVE LIKE DOLLY. ✨

Stay humble.
Laugh loudly.
Be kind.
Let ’em doubt you… then prove ’em wrong. 😉

This is our FAVORITE part of this mud kitchen! The *very* custom, water feature! This was one of the *must haves* on the list of things the client wanted for their project. What would YOUR must haves be?!

Theres more than one way to cook an egg. And there’s more than one way at to build a box! This time, I assembled the entire box as a whole unit then cut the lid off the top. I did it this way because I wanted the wood grain to be seamless top to bottom. The tricky part is planning ahead and making sure I don’t forget what I’m adding to the box before I glue it up! For example this box had a middle divider that was rabbited inside. Once it’s glued together, there’s no way to add that ledge! This forces me to slow my brain down and actually HAVE A PLAN. 😅

Loved making this custom walnut “heirloom box” as a quinceañera gift! Mahogany splines for just a little character and personalized lid engraved by Home Hearth and Threads, which turned out so good!! This simple, clean design really let the wood speak for itself. Although it doesn’t FEEL like the holidays, they are right around the corner. The calendar is open for custom pieces before the holidays! Ps. Yes, we will ignore the backseat of the car backdrop… when you remember you never took photos… you do what you gotta do 🤪

So happy how this huge mud kitchen for Everwild Preschool turned out! This area was carefully planned and built for their 3-5 yrs old students, to explore, play, and create!
