Small laundry rooms need smart storage, not more obstacles.

Take a look at this before and after!

This laundry room is tucked into a small hallway space behind folding doors, so every inch matters.

Before, wire shelving took up valuable space and made it difficult to access the washer and dryer. There was storage, but the layout wasn't making everyday laundry any easier.

We replaced the wire shelving with a wooden shelf and hanging rod, giving clothes a dedicated place to hang. We also added two closed cabinets to keep laundry detergent and other essentials tucked away.

The biggest difference? We repositioned the storage along the sides of the room, opening up the space above the machines and making both the washer and dryer easier to access.

Same small laundry room, but a much more practical layout.

You don't need a large laundry room to make it functional. You just need a design that works with the space you have.

What do you do with a long, narrow closet that just doesn't seem to work?

This is exactly why we love custom design.

Before, this closet had piles of clothing, overflowing bins, and very little usable storage. The square footage was there, but the layout wasn't doing the homeowner any favors.

Instead of trying to make a standard closet layout fit an awkward space, we designed around the room's dimensions.

We added adjustable shelving, dedicated hanging space, and a combination of storage options along the walls to make better use of the closet's length and height, all while keeping the walkway open and accessible.

Now, there's a place to hang clothing, shelves for folded items, and room to organize everything without having to dig through piles on the floor.

You don't always need a bigger closet. Sometimes you just need a better use of the space you already have.

For this primary closet, we designed a combination of double hanging, open shelving, and dedicated storage for shoes and handbags to make the most of the space.

What if your pantry could do more than just store groceries?

Think about how much time you spend in your kitchen every day. Making coffee, getting breakfast ready, packing lunches, and trying to keep the countertops from becoming a catchall for everything.

For this L-shaped pantry, we wanted to make those everyday routines a little easier.

Along with plenty of shelving for groceries and pantry essentials, we created a dedicated countertop area that can be used as a coffee station, breakfast station, or a place to keep smaller appliances like the toaster.

That means fewer appliances taking up valuable kitchen counter space and a pantry that does more than hold food.

Can we take a moment for the men’s side of this his-and-hers closet?

There’s a place for everything, but more importantly, it’s designed around what he actually reaches for.

Hats are organized and easy to see. Pants stay accessible on open shelving, while drawers keep smaller items tucked away. Dress shoes and pairs that aren’t worn every day have their own space up top, leaving the lower shoe shelves open for the everyday rotation.

The hanging sections are just as intentional. Adjustable rods can be moved as the wardrobe changes, and double hanging makes better use of the vertical space for shirts, pants, and shorter pieces.

A good closet isn’t just about fitting more in. It’s about making what you own easier to see, reach, and put away.

Not every project starts with a closet.

This time, it was an entertainment center, and the same thinking that goes into our closets and pantries went into this too: what does this family actually need from this space, every day?

The answer was hidden storage on the bottom. Three closed cabinets keep remotes, cords, and media clutter out of sight, so the TV wall stays clean. Above it, open shelving that adjusts, so they can style it with books, photos, and decor now, and restyle it as life changes.

No box store piece was ever going to fit this room the way this one does. It was designed for this wall, this family, this home.

Take a look at this laundry room before and after.

Before, wire shelving left so much of the vertical space unused, which meant laundry, storage bins, and everyday essentials were all competing for the same limited space.

Now, storage runs from floor to ceiling. Closed cabinets give cleaning supplies and bulk items a place of their own, while open shelving keeps everyday essentials within easy reach. We also added cabinets above the washer and dryer, putting that previously unused space to work.

And the countertop might be one of our favorite additions. There’s finally a dedicated place to sort and fold laundry without it taking over the entire room.

Same room. Just designed to work a whole lot better.

This is what we mean when we say good closet design.

It’s using the height of the room without making anything impossible to reach. Pull-down hanging racks bring clothing stored up high right down to you, then tuck it back out of the way.

It’s making the corners count with shelving that turns what could have been wasted space into usable storage.

It’s having plenty of drawers to keep things tucked away, plus an island that adds even more drawer storage and gives you a countertop right in the middle of the closet.

Every inch has a purpose, and everything is designed around making the closet easier to use every single day.
