Through the Wood

It's been quite a while since I have been able to work on any projects. Life gets in the way, and priorities shift. It is my hope to be able to stick my toes back into the refinishing world this summer. Working on refinishing wood furniture is my zen space. It is my time to reflect on things. I'm able to delve deeply into my thoughts, and work hard to create beautiful pieces. It's becoming a priority to me so that I can feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally. Stay tuned....

You know, sometimes life gets in the way of things. I haven't been working on any projects in quite a while. There are projects and pieces screaming for attention,but I honestly have lost my spark.☹️ I hope that at some point I will feel my creative juices flowing again. I refuse to give up. I'm just taking the time that I need to take care of myself,and focus on priorities. Please don't give up on me. I'll be back.🤓

Went to look at furniture today. So excited!! We will have some beautiful (and not in need of refinishing!!) 1930's waterfall pieces! Going to get it this weekend. Pictures then.

Long time no post. Tomorrow I'll be going to scout some furniture that needs refinishing! Updates to follow....

I've been in a rut for a while. I lost motivation and focus for a bit. I'm feeling some creative juices flowing through my veins again,and I hope that some creative things will happen in the near future. Stay tuned,and thank you for following Through the Wood!

Wood filler is dried and sanded, first coat of satin poly is on.

Finished product!! Could not be more happy with the way this turned out!! *This table was completed 2 years ago.

Table is glued and assembled. 24 hour dry time for the glue. A nice satin polyurethane will complete the project this week!!

The little table is just about to be reassembled, glued a little, and polyurethaned!!! Stain is beautiful! !

A prior customer has another piece for me to refinish! This belonged to her mother. Her dog gnawed on one of the legs,and there is water damage to the top. Can't wait to get this one started!!
