Christmas is right around the corner, and we’re ready for a busy season at The Original Parker Chairs & Swings! 🎄

We’re still here, still building, and still making the same quality oak rockers and cypress furniture that have been sitting on porches for generations.

If you’ve ever bought something from us, we’d love for you to leave us a review. 😉 Give us the good, the bad & the ugly—we can take it!

And if you haven’t shopped with us in a while, come see what we’ve been building. Christmas is the perfect time for a gift that’ll last a whole lot longer than Christmas morning. ❤️

🌳 A LITTLE REMINDER FROM A GRANT PARISH GEM! 🌳

We’ve heard it more than once lately… “I thought y’all closed!”

NOPE — WE’RE STILL HERE! ❤️
The Original Parker Chairs & Swings is still up and running and still building the same quality, handmade furniture we’ve been known for.

From our beautiful oak rockers to our cypress swings, we’re still creating furniture that’s made to LAST. Not just for a few years… but for generations.

One of our favorite things is hearing from customers who come back years later to buy a rocker for a grandchild or family member because they still have the Parker rocker they bought 40+ years ago!

That’s the kind of quality we’re proud to put our name on.

We’re still building. We’re still serving Grant Parish. And we’re still making furniture that becomes part of your family’s story.

If you’ve been thinking we closed — come see us! 😉

UPDATE: We found a bread truck! 🙌🏼

After yesterday’s little setback, we’re so thankful to say we found another bread truck to use for our kiln! We’ll be back at it and building the best rockers & swings around before you know it. 🪑❤️

Thank y’all so much for sharing our post, reaching out, and helping us find one. We truly appreciate our community and all the support for The Original Parker Chairs & Swings!

A little fire can’t stop 4 generations of craftsmanship. 🔥💪🏼

Tuesday , The Original Parker Chairs & Swings had a little setback. We had a fire, but thankfully we were able to get it under control, and the only thing we lost was one of the old bread trucks we use as a kiln to dry our lumber. We are extremely thankful it wasn’t any worse!

With that being said, we’re on the hunt for another old bread truck!

If anyone has one sitting around they’d be willing to sell—or knows where we might find one—please reach out to us. It does not have to run, have a motor, or even have tires. We mainly need the box/body of the truck to convert into a kiln.

We’ll post a picture for reference of what we’re looking for. Please share and help us spread the word! 🤎

Beautiful set going out the door! 🤎

These handcrafted rockers are finished in our beautiful Golden Oak stain, bringing out the natural beauty of the wood. Paired with a matching two-tier side table, this set is built to last for generations.

Sturdy, well-built, and timeless—just the way quality furniture should be. Thank you for supporting The Original Parker Chairs & Swings. We hope you enjoy many years of porch sitting and making memories! 🪑✨
