Leap of Faith

I know I haven’t posted anything in a very, very long time but things have been a little busy at our house. We just completed out primary bathroom renovation and I’m excited to share it with your. This is the second time we’ve updated this bathroom in thirty years of living in our house. I just happened to find pics of what it looked like when we bought the house. It’s crazy how much things have changed and it’s definitely for the better. A video of the whole room is at the end of the pics. Be sure to let me know what you think❤️

What a great find! This amazing trestle base library table is so functional. Simply slide the top to reveal three felt lined storage compartments and transform this beautiful console table to a full size dining, game or library table. The top and inside were refinished with Stain and Finishing Oil in the color Cappuccino. The based was painted with Scuff Defense in the color Blackout.

I hope to share our laundry room/entryway progress tomorrow but in the meantime here’s a little side project. I’ve had this beautiful milk glass lamp for a while. We bought it from an estate sale for $5! It didn’t have a shade so I bought a plain one from Hobby Lobby and covered it with fabric. I touched up the metal with gold paint. What do you think?

Remember when I said I hoped we’d be finished with the laundry room/entryway in a week or so? Of course, when you’re doing any kind of renovation project it’s going to take more time than you think. Here’s a little peek at what’s happening. We’re getting closer!

While my handyman is doing on some carpentry work, I’ve been doing a little shopping for the room. I found these great baskets at . They’re going to be perfect laundry baskets! I also decided to order one of the cordless/rechargeable lamps from that everyone has been raving about. Last but not least, I spotted this beautiful vintage table from an advertised estate sale. It’s the perfect size for the spot I have in mind. It needs a little TLC but it’s going to be a great addition. If you missed my sneak peek of paint colors and wallpaper, check out the last pic. Things are started to take shape and I can’t wait!!!

I’m taking a furniture refinishing break to work on some home updates. Right now I’m tackling the entryway/laundry room. I started before taking some pics of the before but this will give you an idea of where we were in the beginning. I’m hoping to have things completed in the next week or so 🤞🏻

❤️AVAILABLE ❤️ So excited to finally share this beautiful Drexel set makeover. These pieces had seen better days so they needed a little TLC. I chose in the color Cast Iron. I was able to use the original drawer pulls after shining them up. Don’t you love the drawer liner?

SOLD Hey! It seems like forever since I’ve posted any furniture. Life changes after a grandbaby comes into the picture. For the better I might add❤️ I’m going to be home for a while so I’m trying to get back into the swing of things.

I’ve had this vintage radio cabinet tucked away in the garage for some time. I started working on it months ago and finally finished it this weekend. I love it!❤️ The top, base, and decorative trim pieces were stripped and colorwashed. The exterior was painted beige and the interior is an off white. The pegboard backing was replaced with new hardboard and covered with a gorgeous wallpaper. There were originally 2 small k***s on the doors and those were replaced with antique brass teardrop pulls. I attached the brass Columbia Radio tag to the back as a reminder of the history of this piece. With the updates, this beautiful cabinet has a new purpose.
