Some ceilings were too beautiful to stay ceilings.

This one-of-a-kind cabinet began life as an antique hand-etched metal ceiling panel, with pressed floral medallions in octagonal frames and Greek key borders. The kind of detail you only find in old buildings.

That single panel has been reimagined into a long, impressive cabinet, built on a body of solid recycled wood, with four drawers up top and deep, shelved storage behind every door.

A remarkable piece of architectural history, reimagined for modern living.
101” long by 18” x 36” H.

An antique cabinet with hand-carved geometric designs, a stunning and unusual find for Baba.

How beautiful is this tapestry?
Known as Moti Bharat, this is a traditional beadwork art from Gujarat, India.
Tiny, colourful glass beads are woven together to create intricate patterns in a delicate, net-like fabric.
Traditionally used as torans over doorways and as decorative wall hangings, owning one of these was a symbol of prosperity, social identity, and good fortune.

Often on my sourcing trips, I come across century-old shutters, doors and carved panels. I’m always thinking about how these old pieces can be reimagined for modern living, without losing the stories they carry.

These antique teak window shutters, weathered by decades of sun, have been reimagined as a one-of-a-kind sideboard, paired with solid mango wood and practical storage behind every door.

Add pieces with soul to your living spaces.

A beautiful century-old English country cabinet in solid teak, with a carved frieze, glass-fronted upper and lower sections, a gently scalloped apron and chunky bun feet. The beautiful natural grain is all part of its appeal.

A century-old teak door and beautiful architectural pieces, brought together and given a new life as a stunning console.

That’s the part we love about Baba. Taking pieces from another time, giving them a little imagination, and letting them live beautifully again.
