Moving right along. Picked up a plunge router today. ( I had one but my base was not interchangeable) and cut the walnut into a round today. I learned a lot last time where I almost lost a limb Routed out a race about 3/8 deep for the bearing to ride on the straight cutter The inner circle is for the current metal base to nestle

Soooo, where have I been?? Well, after dealing with a numb left hand for the better part of the last few years, the over the top moment was another round of trigger finger in my left thumb. Two rounds of cortisone since 2024 left me no choice but to have it surgically corrected. While not a complicated procedure, I spent most of the summer in an immobilization brace which prevented most of my shop time. I will be back in commission in about a month - and then Angie - I promise to finish your 51" round walnut table top. After that, I might have a beautiful walnut river table in the works for a new client - very exciting.
