Tiny and small house designs, custom furniture design and 3D Rendering Welcome to Tiny Modern Homes! There are more of us than we think!

The Tiny House Movement has exploded in popularity recently, prompting me to share my journey and designs with the online community. The Tiny Community in Dallas/Fort Worth is also making enormous strides toward establishing a community of like-minded folks who believe that "everything is bigger in Texas" doesn't necessarily have to apply to our houses. Please feel free to reach out to me whether

We already have one guest room, but our guests tend to arrive in groups of three. Enter DIY Budget Murphy Bed! For only $600 in materials (including the new shelves) our extra guests can now have a comfortable place to sleep. Because, as my brother-in-law says “air mattresses are for people who want to sleep on the floor, but not right away.”

Big thanks to for the excellent plans and tutorial on YouTube.

I love designing tiny houses. Many clients need a slightly larger space, and that’s totally cool, but I have a special place in my heart for the tiniest of tinies. This concept popped into my head today. Can’t wait to model it in 3D when I get home!

When designing your house, lighting is key. Don’t be afraid to invest in something you’re going to use every day.

Some days are small victories. Some days are big victories. Today was a big victory 💪🏻

Shower finished! glass tile with lightweight and easy to clean(!) Upstile walls. I even offset the controls so it’s not blocked by the handheld shower hose.

People ask me all the time if we’re done with our tiny house yet. I always reply “it’ll take as long as it takes”. Life happens. Construction is hard. Some days are easy and some days we get two boards put up. The best days are the ones where we can start to see what the finished product will look like. Believe in yourself. Go at your own pace, and don’t let anybody (even your own body) tell you you can’t do it.

is a case study in sensory experience. Every choice has been made with a focus on how surfaces will feel when you interact with them. Round penny tile has no sharp edges and a smooth texture. The shower drain is offset so you don’t have to step on the rough drain while showering. Even the shower walls (acrylic) were chosen over tile for their warmer touch.

The fiber optic starlight ceiling? If you’ve ever been in a you’ll know.

Finally making progress on our white oak ceiling. I think I’m going to love it.

Huge thanks to Ines Yilmazer for the inspiration on this one. I love taking design cues from luxury homes (such as this slatted wood wall from a $25m home in Istanbul) and incorporating them into my designs. When you’re up close and personal with your house, treat it like a piece of artwork.
