Another project we completed a few years ago. We left and the stone work and decorating had not been done. My poor skills at photography, I did not have good representation of the finished projects. Which, photographing spaces is an art all on its own and at the time we couldn't find anyone to handle this for us. So, here they are, with the actual feel of the change the work made to this lower level.

One more AI modified photo. Again, the details were made more defined. The actual work is as warm and lovely as shown, no modifications were done other than to bring out the richness of the woodwork and clarified the details. Just the actual beauty and feel of the work and space were made to look as it does in real life. In this instance, an open wine room in the lower level of a beautiful home.

Using AI to bring out the details of the work, I am ashamed at the level of photography skills I have. Here is another of our best works, the shadow removed and details stand out in a way that we never captured before. I will add that standing behind this bar, it felt like walking into a pub, a completely different feel than the rest of the lower level.

So, our shop does things the old fashioned way. Using skill and experience to craft quality cabinetry. And, it takes some adjustment to find the ways that AI can help us out. This is a project we did a decade ago but the photos we took were less than ideal. Chatgpt brought out the beauty of the wood that we worked hard to achieve.

We changed the profile photo from handsome Jack to one of the owner. Tried running that through chatgpt, to make that portrait more presentable and handsome. Its possible we broke the AI, asking them to do the impossible, if anyone asks it was someone else. Any rate, here's Jack dawg, for all his friends and fans:

Not all our work is "grand and glorious". We have a huge effect on every home we work on. This is the progress of an addition we are working on. This niche in the addition of an Oregon district historic home. We began with a wardrobe cabinet to be added with an arch entry. Upon start or work we discussed with the homeowner, the addition of a laundry chute. In addition to this, the homeowner would like us to remove all the baseboard in the upper level and replace it with something that fits the home's character and historic significance.
We are also removing a partition knee wall and going to make a railing to take its place. These photos show the beginning of the demolition, we partitioned the area to keep the dust and impact to a minimum. More in the next week as we install cabinetry and continue with our work.

Some bits and pieces from past projects, details in each photo's description. More work from a full custom design, build, install shop:

Well, after three different web specialists and having to hand hold two of them and no results, the website is back up and running. The redirect for cell phones is working too! Yay.

We wrapped up our last project. The installed bookcases we crafted for our client. They reached out to us again, we worked on display cabinetry in her home and we also did work for her mother. One thing I love about our work, we would never meet such good hearted people otherwise.
This project was amazing, not just because we carefully crafted the bookcases, covering all aspects of design including matching the original work in the home, the scale and proportion of the room as well as usability and adapting to the existing mantle.
We finished off and returned the next day, surprised to find that the homeowner had not just arranged the bookcases but had also rearranged the entire living room. The effect was so startling, it was like a completely different home.

Sometimes we finish a project, it turns out fantastically well. But instead of posting it, the plan is to return when our client has decorated. But we lose that in the shuffle and do not have the time to go back for a photo shoot. This is one of those. This bookcase project really completed the room. Completely installed and built in. High quality finish, soft close hardware and dimmable led lighting. And, we strive to make our work look like the design construction and installation look as though it had been there from the start. Whether it is a new home or one built in the 1800's.
Top it off, yet another great client to work with and happy when we left.
