Not everything is a sexy new original creation. Sometimes woodworking is less glamorous. This was a refinishing job that required a full demo and reassembly. Upgraded the power, hardware, cabinet slide assemblies, and baseboard. This book case was about 50 years old. Hopefully this refresh gets the client another 50 years.

My friend had a made and asked me to turn it into a sign for their cabin. I love the results. Ambrosia maple with a jatoba frame. The “windows” are backlit in the evening.

Finishing touches are going on to this beautiful urban salvage birch table. The curl is unreal and the brass bow ties provide a ton of contrast.

Meet Dustin, one of our incredible shop captains!
CCM shop captains are experienced makers who teach classes, help new members get safety tested on various equipment and provide critical support to our space and community. Here’s what Dustin has to say:
“I'm the owner of Panel/Board Design & Assembly, a small custom woodworking shop that emphasizes quality materials, a mix of traditional and cutting-edge techniques, and a midcentury & modern aesthetic. As one of the woodshop captains at CCM, I'm excited to be a part of growing Wheat Ridge's DIY and maker communities. It's my hope that CCM will become a hub for learning and collaboration for community members of all ages. You'll likely find me sharing what I know about fine woodworking, furniture design, or CNC operation in the woodshop, leathercraft in the Fab Lab, or in a seat next to you, brushing up on laser engraving or arduino programming.
While I've found my passion in woodworking, I've had past careers as an attorney and a union electrician and I aspire to share my belief that it's never too late in life to uncover a passion for craft. I love being part of a community that is investing in its homegrown makers and am excited to be part of building this thing together.”

Exploring the synergy of AI art in creative processes for over a year 🎨✨. Though integrating it into my furniture designs remains unexplored, I've discovered its immense value in social media, marketing, and pre-production visuals. This render may not be flawless, but my aim is to spark curiosity and inspire fellow creators to embrace AI technology in their creative workflow. Follow along to dive deeper into AI innovation with me.

I turned this elegant little Danish-inspired solid teak lamp a while back. I think I’ll change the proportions a bit for the next one but it would look great on a Lane Acclaim side table or on your nightstand. DM for pricing.

Safari chair in Padauk and black Latigo now available! DM me for pricing. I’ve been trying to find a way to present my pieces in a consistently stylized environment via AI image generators. I don’t think we’re there yet, but this is probably the best integration of real furnishings in an AI room. Proportions, angles, and shadows are decent here, albeit a little sterile. Do you have a better way to insert your own work into generative images? Hit me up.

Ive been receiving a lot of audiophile-related commissions recently. Custom plinths and cabinets for vintage and high end components are a great way to preserve the fidelity of your music while maintaining a bespoke, cohesive look to your whole setup. Looking for something like this behemoth birdseye maple plinth to become the focal point of your vinyl setup? I still have some availability in 2023. Shoot me a DM or catch me on my Etsy store. Link in bio. #909
