Custom mudroom

03/07/2026

New mudroom just dropped. 🚪✨

This family used to have everyone squeezing by the garage door to wrestle their shoes on. Now? Room to breathe. Room to sit. Room for all the chaos.

Custom lockers. Bench seat. Soft-close drawers full of gloves and dog leashes. Finished in Sherwin Williams Warm Stone because even a mudroom deserves to look good.

From bottleneck to built-in. Way more functional, way less chaos.

Wire shelving, meet your match. 🔨✨

Remember those boring wire shelves that came with the house? The ones where stuff just kind of... piles up? Yeah. We don't do that here.

This Highlands Ranch client came to us wanting more than just a place to hang clothes. They wanted a space that actually worked—somewhere everything had a spot, and getting dressed in the morning felt like a treat instead of a treasure hunt.

We ripped out the old wire and designed a custom closet that flows, functions, and honestly? Feels like an extension of their bedroom. Because why should closets be an afterthought?

Now every pair of shoes has a home, folded sweaters have their place, and there's even room for their jewelery. No more piles. Just calm.

Who else is ready to ditch the wire and give their closet the glow-up it deserves? 🙋‍♀️

Happy Valentine's Day from The WoodChicks! 💕🪵

Today, people will be posting about flowers and chocolate. And don't get me wrong—I love both. But my favorite thing in the world is getting to build a business AND a life with my favorite person.

Caitlin, working beside you every day is the kind of dream I didn't know I could have. We measure twice (let's be honest - we measure a million times), cut once (and sometimes still mess up), and somehow still find time to make each other laugh in between all the sawdust. You make the hard days easier and the good days unforgettable.

Building cabinets with you is great. Building a life with you? That's the real deal. ❤️

Here's to love, lumber, and forever. 🪚🔨

Hey Colorado 👋 I'm Sandra, one of the faces (and hands) behind The WoodChick Colorado.

For the past 8 years, I've been hiding in my shop transforming piles of lumber into heirloom-quality cabinets and furniture for homes right here in our state. I figured it was time to properly reintroduce myself!

I build custom cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, bars—basically anywhere you need storage that looks this good. I also enjoy building custom furniture. Tables, benches, beds, barn doors.

Swipe through to see a few of my favorite projects, and head to the link in my bio to see the full portfolio. Let's build something beautiful together. 🪵🔨

It’s only 45*F in the shop right now 🥶 I think we’ll have a cup of coffee first!
