This week so far we’ve had life skills over budgeting/money management, train your brain with word searches/crossword puzzles, treating people with dignity and respect. Tuesday we went to Cape art and visited our friends at the Peer Impact Center & the Gallery of Inspiration.

We’ve celebrated birthdays, sang and danced to Karaoke with our peers. Monday-Wednesday we volunteered at Meals on Wheels, delivering meals to the elderly. We’ve played pool, cards, board games, and watched movies. It’s been a great week and it will finish out strong.

That’s a wrap, have a blessed weekend!

• Thursday we got to go and spend time with our friends at the Puxico Nursing & Rehab Center. Singing karaoke, getting treated to cookies & kool-aide, and just having fun.

• Friday we took a group up to Cape for a shopping trip and getting a bite to eat. And, to the Speciality Services 1st Annual Fun Day, where our friends were able to play games, toss balls, socialized with our peers, and eat hamburgers & hot dogs.

It’s been a great, fun filled week with our friends.

Over the hump

This week we have been busy doing handwriting skills, personal information/and who it is safe to share that information with, and positive personal space. For our lunches we have had homemade hamburger helper, pizza casserole, and biscuits & gravy.

We’ve went thrift shopping at the Goodwill of Sikeston, up to Cape art to visit our friends, Tina & Mike at the Peer Impact Center and the Gallery of Inspiration. We took a trip to Boone Park and enjoyed the cool morning. And, ran through a missing persons drill.

Monday - Wednesday we volunteered at the Meals on Wheels, delivering meals to the elderly.

Today was a fun packed fun Friday. We had the choice of ice cream club, soda club, and bowling. We spent the day full of activities and ate some baked spaghetti/garlic bread for lunch. Have a blessed weekend, and see you all Monday.
