Before & After: Because apparently this stained glass had decided retirement was not an option.

This piece came to me looking a little rough around the edges. Okay… most of the edges. After restoring the glass and adding a new custom frame, it’s officially back to looking like something you’d proudly display instead of carefully explaining.

Restored for my friends and repeat customers, Clayton Young and Justine Saunders.

Thanks again for trusting me with it!

Apparently, this is what “I’ll just build a quick rack” looks like.

FLORIDA CEDAR DOESN’T GET THE ATTENTION IT DESERVES

Most people think of western red cedar. Meanwhile, Florida cedar has been quietly looking this good the whole time.

Its rich reds, dramatic grain, and natural durability make every slab one of a kind. Add a little blue epoxy, and suddenly you’ve got art instead of just another piece of wood.

Nature did the hard part. I just tried not to mess it up.

Playing with electricity and wood! Fractal burning creates these crazy lightning patterns. Please don’t try this

Another flock is finished and heading to its new home! These five handcrafted silverware pelicans are on their way to Mr. Ed Freirson in Venice Beach, Florida. Each one is hand-shaped from vintage silverware and mounted on a custom engraved wood base.

All lined up together, they kind of look like a weird little reggae band about to drop their first album. 😄

Thank you again, Ed, for your continued support and for trusting Sassoon Designs with another custom order. I truly appreciate your business and hope you enjoy them!

Built from six different species, each bringing its own character to the piece.

Maple, Poplar, Pine, Padauk, Olive, and White Oak come together in this one-of-a-kind chair, creating a blend of color, grain, and texture that couldn’t be achieved with a single wood alone.

A special thank you to John Coughenour, who gave me the AL frame that became the foundation of this project. It’s always amazing to see how a simple gift can become something entirely new.

Handcrafted, functional, and built to be enjoyed for years to come.

Color, texture, and a little bit of wild energy.
