‼️‼️Hey Folks‼️‼️

We will be open today but we may not stay open until 5pm. We will see how business goes today. With that said. There will be NO LEAGUE NIGHT tonight as all of our youth and some adults are in Houston at the HLSR Shoot.

If we close early it’ll be at 3pm!

Thank you all for your continued support!

FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES!

Below are 2 - 20 second videos. 3 days apart.

1 - with the slightly bigger doe and the sun in the frame is shot with a 524 grain Easton FMJ traveling at 274 fps real world speed

2 - slightly smaller doe but shot with a Easton 5.0 at 424 grains and 296 fps real world speed

The Video with the FMJ , the doe didn’t hardly duck until the arrow has passed under her belly and grazed her white fur.

The Video with the 5.0 has the doe ducking and turning hard quartering away before the arrow even gets there, causing the entrance hole to be way far back compared to the aiming point.

Our point is……people obsess over speed. But the speed of sound is 1125 fps. The slower arrow gets less of a reaction out of the doe than the faster one. You can’t make this stuff up. And you can’t practice this stuff. This is real world hunting. Not shooting at targets. We have a miss. And we have a harvest. Bottom line is experience and understanding the animals you hunt will take you further than the fastest bow in the world.

Take these videos. Use them. Study them. You can see one doe acts one way and the other does something different.

For the record I, Donny, have NEVER shot at a doe that didn’t duck until this one the other day. To have had a miss on this one really had us scratching our heads.

Stuff Happens. Misses happen to the best. But one thing is for sure. We don’t hide it. We’re transparent. Because we care about real people and our customer base of bowhunters. Pretending to be perfect helps nobody. Not even yourself.

We hope everyone is having an awesome deer season already!
