Boldra Treasure Chest

Looks like we will be refinishing another Cedar Hope Chest. We found this 79-year-old beauty today. It belonged to 2 sisters' & this was their parents' chest. They shed tears & hugged each other as they gave us the chest, due to the sentimental value it has. We are looking forward to restoring it & bringing back its meaning.

We were able to restore this beautiful cedar chest & bring it back to life! We were also able to restore the original hardware so that was a plus!

Products used for the restoration: Zinsser Bulls Eye Seal Coat 100% Wax Free Shellac, Varathane Ultimate Polyurethane Water Based, Brasso Metal Polisher, Sizix Luster Wax in Rose Gold.

We're almost done with this project. We completely stripped & sanded down this cedar chest. We refinished it with Rust-Oleum Zinsser Bulls Eye Seal Coat 100% Wax-Free Shellac. We will apply 1 or 2 more coats of this & add all new hardware. We're so happy with the results so far!

We finally got around to our next project! We found this cedar chest at a secondhand furniture store. Our goal is to restore it. It did have some damage to it, but we're confident that we'll bring this back to life!

*SOLD* Finally completed this project! Dresser Bench Combo. Refinished with BEHR Premium Plus Paint & Primer. Used Rust-Oleum Aged Glaze to accomplish a pottery barn appearance. Also, used Varathane Polyurethane for the topcoat.
