If I sound a little scatterbrained and look a little disheveled in this video, well… welcome to my world! 😂❤️

This is what happens when you work from home at a stressful full-time job, run out to grab groceries, and then sneak down to the workshop for a little furniture therapy before heading home to let the dogs out! 🐾

But I was SO excited to finish this corner cabinet that I just couldn’t wait to show you!

I painted her in Farmhouse Paint Dark Ivy, kept that beautiful warm wood interior, added some vintage botanical transfers I had left over from other projects, and gave her a little distressing for that well-loved, old English cottage charm. 🌿🌸

And I absolutely LOVE how she turned out!

Honestly, this is another one of those pieces I wish I had room for in my own home. I’m still trying to convince myself I can find a spot for her, but we all know that’s not happening! 😂

So unless I magically find some extra space in my house, she’ll be heading to my booth at Fab Finds & Furniture in Foxborough, MA, this weekend!

Messy hair, paint-covered hands, a little rambling, and a whole lot of love for bringing old furniture back to life. That’s Humble Beginnings! ❤️

What makes me happy? Giving beautiful old furniture a second chance! 🌿❤️

This vintage corner cabinet is getting a whole new look in a gorgeous, moody green, while keeping that beautiful natural wood interior.

I’m still putting on the finishing touches, and I’m thinking a little floral detail on the door might give her just the right amount of cottage charm. 🌸

She’ll be heading to Fab Finds & Furniture in Foxborough this weekend!

I love imagining all the ways someone could use this piece, from displaying vintage dishes and favorite treasures to creating a cozy little corner filled with candles and seasonal decor.

Another old piece getting a new beginning. That’s what Humble Beginnings is all about! ❤️

SOLD! ❤️ Another beautiful piece has found its new home!

I’m so happy this gorgeous antique Berkey & Gay buffet found someone to love it! This is one of those pieces I wish I had the space for in my own home. The beautiful wood, timeless details, and craftsmanship are just something you don’t see every day. ❤️

As much as I love finding new homes for these beautiful pieces, there’s always a little part of me that wishes I could keep them all! 😂

But the good news is, I have several more furniture projects in the works, and some beautiful pieces will be making their way to Fab Finds + Furniture | Home Store very soon!

I’m a furniture painter with a love for giving old, forgotten pieces a second chance. From vintage furniture to cozy cottage finds, I love taking something that’s seen better days and turning it into something beautiful for someone’s home.

Today I’m taking you behind the scenes to show you what I’ve been working on and what’s coming next!

I’ve got a pretty green French Provincial piece that’s almost finished, more furniture waiting for its makeover, chairs that need some love, and enough projects to keep me busy for quite a while! 😂

My garage might not be pretty, but it’s where the magic (and a whole lot of sanding, painting, and sawdust) happens!

One of my favorite things about this business is seeing the transformation from something old and overlooked into something that gets to be loved all over again. ❤️

🍂🍁 I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to fall… but Winter & Christmas is starting to sneak into Humble Beginnings! 🎄❤️

I’ve been going through all my Christmas inventory, getting ready to bring some holiday cheer to The Curated Cottage at Grist Mill Pond in Seekonk and Fab Finds + Furniture | Home Store in Foxborough!

And I have to tell you, I’m SO excited about some of the adorable things I have coming! 🥰

Just look at this happy little snowman! ☃️❤️

Standing 11 inches tall, he has the sweetest little smile, rosy cheeks, and a beautiful frosted finish that lights up with the warmest, coziest glow. ✨ He even has a built-in timer that stays on for 6 hours and turns off for 18, so you can enjoy his cheerful little face every evening!

He’s just one of the many Christmas goodies I’ll be bringing into the shops over the next few weeks!

Don’t worry, I’m still soaking up all the cozy fall vibes! 🍂 But I can’t help getting a little excited for Christmas, too!

✨ DAY TWO at The Curated Cottage! ✨

What a great opening day yesterday! If you didn’t get a chance to stop in, today is the perfect day to come take a look around. ❤️

The shop is filled with so many beautiful finds from an amazing group of vendors… refinished furniture, home décor, candles, seasonal goodies, vintage finds, handmade pieces and so much more. There’s something new to see around every corner!

I’m so excited to have Humble Beginnings Furniture Company be part of this beautiful new shop. You’ll find my booth in the first room just behind the reception area when you walk in, so be sure to stop in and check it out!

🍂 I also have the Milkhouse Candle Bar set up with some wonderful fall scents! Pick your favorite fragrance and create your own candle to take home. It was so much fun watching people make theirs yesterday!

Grab a friend, take a ride to Seekonk and make a little Sunday outing of it. 🍂☕️🛍️

Can you spot me in the video that the The Old Grist Mill Tavern made for opening day! Perfect day for checking out a new shop…and then heading to the Grist mill for an espresso martini flight and a prime rib sandwich! (that’s what I had the last time I went in. Yum.!!) 😋
