Beautiful fall day here in Pennsylvania.

Spent some time putting together some chunky legs for a project I’m working on.

Good weather and some sawdust. A day well spent.

Cheers.

I’ve been getting more orders for benches than I thought I would.

Some of my other projects have had to take a back seat.

Not a bad problem to have.

This 60” bench is off to its new home this weekend.

I guess I’m in the bench business for a little while longer.

That’s a wrap on my the bench project. The first furniture I plan to sell that I built myself.

Overall, a relatively smooth project. A lot of things I’d do again and a lot of things I’d change.

This gave me a lot of ideas for my projects in the coming future. Looking forward to what’s next.

Cheers.

Staining and talking to myself.

A lot of the days in the shop go something like this.

The bench project is close to wrapping up. Some polyurethane and touch ups and they’ll be ready to go.

If you made it this far, thanks for coming along.

Assembly is fun.

Taking a pile of boards and turning them into a set of perfectly sit-able benches.

Next we’ll slap a little stain on them and they’ll be just about done.

Adding the distressed/weathered/aged (or whatever you call it) look to the wood always takes longer than I plan for.

But I truly think it’s worth it.

This is what gives the benches character and more of a visual “hook”.

Tomorrow we’ll get them put together.

Putting my take on a classic bench design.

The vision has always been to sell furniture that I build myself.

This week I’m building a line of benches that will anchor my future furniture collection.

Today is part 1. Stick around to see it come to life.

Make some noise. Make some dust. Uncover something cool.

Whatever makes the world go quiet for a bit.

The work remains. Keep building.
